I paid nearly $15,000 to Muscular Moving Men for an interstate move from Georgia to Texas, including an entire semi-truck. Despite this, the movers left Georgia without loading all my belongings, with approximately 25% of the truck empty. I have photographs documenting the unused space. The company later arranged a second pickup for some remaining items, but I had already been forced to rent a U-Haul, purchase additional supplies, and personally transport a substantial amount of my belongings to Texas at my expense. A large potting bench was still left behind. Before the second pickup, I was expressly told I did not need to be present at the Georgia property. The company now refuses to deliver the bench, citing a contract provision requiring my presence, despite its contrary instructions. The movers also failed to provide promised TV boxes and tall wardrobe boxes specified in our contract. Driver Skip said he had not been told to bring the wardrobe boxes. He assured me televisions wrapped only in moving blankets would be safe, but my TVs were damaged, and I purchased replacements at my own expense. The crew used all my available boxes and packing paper. At Skip’s direction, I bought more, which they also used. After they left items behind, I had to buy still more supplies. After the move, my adult daughter told me Skip’s inappropriate, unwelcome conversations made her so uncomfortable that she left the situation. Despite repeated calls, I have received apologies but no meaningful resolution. I am requesting reimbursement for my damaged TVs, U-Haul rental and related out-of-pocket expenses, and delivery of my potting bench at no additional charge.
