Mr Box Moving & StorageReviews of mrboxmoving.com

I recently moved to Florida and needed a moving company from Pompano to Kissimmee. I had two bedroom suits and then your normal kitchen appliances those kind of things. They originally told me that all in price was $2000. I do have steps.. On the day of the move, they called me and said the truck is loaded, but they’re not going to deliver it unless I pay another 1,000 dollars. I said you originally quoted me $2000 I don’t understand. She said the lady who works for this company then you should’ve read the small print because we can add on money if we need too The house is under construction, so they delivered everything to the garage. There was no steps no set up and I paid for set up. None of that. There’s also no refund it literally went from the truck to the garage. When I started moving my things upstairs, the TV table was broke. The leg was broke off of it. The nightstand was chipped. The paint was chipped off, and it was also broke. It’s so disappointing that I paid $3000 for two bedroom suits, and the things from the kitchen, blender, dishes, etc. I had already boxed everything up so they didn’t even need to box it up. I recommend from everyone don’t use this company. I should’ve looked at their star rating, which is also really low before I did this that would’ve been an indicator.

If I can give them a 0 star I would. Let's begin with a very competitive price they offer you during the phone call, including a discount when I was hesitant about it. Sounds good to be true. Well it was. Following booking them I had not heard from them until less than 12 hours before moving date. To which I was told they would be there between 8am-12pm. I received a call at 8am already asking for payment when I haven't even received an eta on arrival. At that point I should have realized something was wrong but it was moving day so I kept going. Once they arrived around 9:30am they showed up with 3 movers, not 2 which wasn't originally disclosed. When they arrived I told them I paid for 3hrs so we need this done in 3 hours. Majority of the furniture was ready to go plus we disassembled 2 of the 3 beds ourselves thankfully because the upcharge is ridiculous. $55-$65 per disassembly and reassembly, does not matter whether it's 2 screws or 20. I was charged to disassemble a bookshelf which all they did was take the shelf off. Had any of this been disclosed beforehand I would have refused any dis-assemblies. Not only did 3 movers take 2.5 hours to move strictly furniture. I was constantly getting called to make the payment. If I didn't answer then she would call the crew which would make them stop working and rack up your time. Fast forward to arriving at the new home. I was immediately introduced with a new estimate and specifically told "Before we can unlock this truck we need you to pay this new invoice". $1800 later after I paid my original price I'm being charged with. "For what" I asked. Now this is the part where they hit you with all of the charges that were never disclosed during the phone call. Now my furniture is held hostage until I pay. By the way, The clock is still ticking. They estimated to unload the truck would be an extra 1.5 hours on top of the 3 they already wasted. So $1800 more just to unload the truck? They also mentioned the money I paid earlier for the original 3hrs was not included in that price. After arguing for 20 minutes they finally included the original payment into the invoice to reduce the already ridiculous 2nd invoice. Even though there website states they accept credit and debit cards they refused to accept that form of payment. It was either Zelle, money order, or cashiers check. I should have known when my bank flagged it as fraud prevention to send them away. After scrambling to get a cashiers check on a Saturday afternoon they finally unloaded the truck. At this point I'm beyond frustrated. Now they want to rush me and tell me they are short on time so they will not be able to bring everything I need upstairs. I've already told them to just leave majority of the stuff downstairs in the middle of the living room just so they'd hurry up. Let's not forget the extra charges to disassemble and reassemble. I had to reassemble majority of what they took apart yet I still got charged.. even after arguing about it they said once we take it apart you pay for that service regardless whether we put it back together or not. This is by far the WORST experience I have EVER dealt with and I STRONGLY advise anyone that sees this company to stay FAR AWAY from them. They will lure you in with the cheapest prices in town then hold your house hostage until you pay the ridiculous extra pricing on it.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I scheduled my move THREE WEEKS in advance, and they canceled on me the DAY BEFORE my scheduled move. This was a two-day, out-of-town move, and they were fully aware of my situation. I had already taken days off work and made travel arrangements specifically around this move, so canceling at the last minute put me in an incredibly difficult position. On top of that, they were not transparent with me about the storage fees beforehand. When they offered to reschedule, the new date did not work for me. I asked multiple times to speak directly with the owner because of how poorly the situation had been handled, but they refused to provide his contact information. After I continued asking to speak with the owner, I was told they simply would no longer do business with me. Canceling a move the day before after it had been booked for three weeks and then refusing to properly address the situation is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend trusting this company with an important move.

After scheduling a move with Mr. box moving and storage, I was told on the morning of the move, that they only accepted a Zelle payment. My bank, would not allow me to send more than $500 through Zelle to this company (the cost was 900.00 and change) After relaying this to their customer service person, I was told that we’re sorry it didn’t work out. I receive a text an hour later that day telling me their crew would arrive and I could pay them directly. It did not list any other form of payment in that text, so I believed they were still looking for a Zelle payment. I decided to hire another moving company and paid them. Mr. box moving and storage has now cost me and my wife a day of work on Monday so we can have our stuff moved tomorrow. I understand having technical difficulties at your business, but people aren’t going to wait around all day with the house completely packed up and hope that the company gets their payment methods back up online.

I only needed help moving a few large pieces, so I was worried that such a small job wouldn’t receive much attention. I was completely wrong. The crew arrived during the scheduled window, carefully wrapped my sofa, dresser, and dining table, and treated everything as if it were part of a much larger move. They also helped me get an oversized chair through a tight doorway without damaging the chair or the walls. The work was finished efficiently, the cost was exactly what had been explained, and everyone was friendly from beginning to end. I’m very pleased with the experience and would gladly call them again.

This company is running a fraud scheme. They quoted me a moving price of 335 inclusive. But when I got to my destination, they charge me 800. I talked with Rodney Thomas who was rude argumentative and kept tracking the price up. Do not use this company. I am a elderly disabled senior and this is how they treated me.

This is a fraud company. These people deserve to be in the darkest places in the hell. They gave me a quote of 280-300 USD, did not tell me anything till they loaded my stuff and as soon as the loading was done, they asked me to do payment of more than 700 USD which is more than 2 times the quoted price. Not only that, the guy insisted that the payment can only be done in cash and despite having my booking for 2 hours minimum, they started charging exhorbitant amount of money. Next they tell me their manager is not in the office and the onky way I can do the payment is by Cash. During this 10 minutes phone call with their manager, they send me an online link that asked me to pay 968 USD and said If I don't make the payment, they will take my stuff with them in the truck. Not only that, when I asked to get my wallet from the bag that was in the truck, they blatantly refused my access to the stuff that is in the truck. This company is running a money extorition scheme and these guys certainly needs to be behind the bar. if you have had similar exeperiences with them, report in the consumer support/ hire an attorney. I can not imagine how many people have been exploited by these fraudulent suckers.
