It was a lot of fun and it felt good to do things for other people. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without Mission Discovery.

I absolutely LOVED this mission trip. This was my first mission trip with this church and in general. The leaders were amazing!! They are kind, friendly, organized, and cared for our health! My God sightings was the weather. It was supposed to be rainy and overcast the entire week, but it was sunny and beautiful outside instead! I also saw God in the leaders and the people. I was so lucky to be able to go on this mission trip with my friends and family in God!

My trip with Mission Discovery was so amazing. Everyone there was so kind and easy to connect with. Some of my God sightings from the week are hearing everyone’s personal stories; the little kids at Leaps N’ Bounds who were just so happy; the art room at the school we stayed at which was so beautiful and unique; a 19 year old woman at Grace Place who was moving out that we heard about; kids at an apartment complex we gave snacks to that barely knew us but connected so well. And these are just some of the God sightings that I witnessed. Working with Mission Discovery really helped me realize how easy it is to help people in need and see God’s hand in everything. God sightings are a new thing I learned there but I will definitely keep doing it. Thank you so much Mission Discovery!

Our group had a great experience. We partnered with some groups who are doing fantastic work in the Nashville community. Our students were challenged to learn about issues of wealth, race and community dynamics within the lens of God's word. Our nightly worship experience was challenging and dynamic. Courtney and Michael helped to guide our group and address any concerns. Gary was a fantastic volunteer leader with whom our students truly enjoyed working. Some of them learned lifelong skills from him. Wes and Hannah were inspirational servant worship leaders. Ms. Pat's food was delicious. My one and only concern is that I felt like there were some unclear expectations about what areas of the campus where we stayed were available to our students. We inadvertently upset the maintenance staff by using an area we thought was open for us. All in all, we'd definitely go again.

Jimmy, Wes, and Courtney were phenomenal leaders! They were engaging, anointed, and efficient all week long. The food prepared by Kyla and Kathy was amazing!!! Wes and Hannah have been gifted by God with beautiful voices- I cried every night as I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit with us as we were raising our voices together in worship of the King. I could see our students’ countenance change each day-more joy and walls crumbling. My only suggestion would be to have more work sites ready for teams who come in like buzz saws.

We accomplished the tasks set before us. Good evening get together time. Accommodations and food were great.

Mission Discovery gets 5 stars for our experience this year. Despite a last minute booking with our youth group, the variety of activities planned and worship opportunities was above and beyond expectations. Michael faithfully attended to our group’s needs and checked in with us daily at work sites and in the evenings. Can’t say enough good things about Kenny and his worship leadership. Kenny connected with our kids and ensured each night ended on a high note. Very impressed overall with the Mission Discovery team. Our kids made lifelong experiences and memories for years to come. Well done!

It had been fifteen years since I had been on a Mission Discovery Trip, only because of the busy schedules of life, not lack of desire. But our recent trip with MD in Guatemala reminded me of why I feel in love with missions in the first place. The heartbeat of MD is love God and love others by serving and that mission is felt in everything they do. I have been on multiple mission trips but my favorite ones have been with Mission Discovery. They just know how to do them right! Thank you MD for everything you do. We LOVE you!
