My experience was great because of what God showed me! I feel like he spoke about thankfulness a good deal. I also enjoyed the team that I served with.

The interns, worship leaders, Chris and even the translators morphed into our group both at the worksite and at the hotel, seamlessly making it feel like one team. The hotel staff and the food was amazing as always. The worship team had viewed some of our church videos online and incorporated hymns from our tradition as well as sharing their favorites. The delivery of food to households is always a profound experience for all involved. The trip was, as always a tremendous catalyst for reflection, growth, and celebration of our place in God’s kingdom.

This was my first mission trip, and I'm so glad we went with Mission Discovery. Even though our plane was a day late, they still made sure someone was there to pick us up at the airport that was an hour away from the hotel. The people were so kind, and there were no issues of any kind. By the end of the trip, I was so connected to everyone. Kudos to all the behind the scenes people working, like our bus driver Felipe who was amazing, Pablo and Marcos who were our translators and tour guides, Myra, Chris, and so many more. Mission Discovery really knows what they're doing and how to do it well.

From the planning and preparation to the trip itself, Mission Discovery was in control, completely organized, and made our first mission trip easy. Our experiences were life changing. We saw God in building a home for a family of four. We encountered God's mercy and joy when we delivered food to poverty stricken people who live with no roof. We found God in a local school where we painted a mural of Psalm 91. We prayed with locals, ate together, and worked together. I came home with a new perspective, more compassion and patience, and new friends. I highly recommend Mission Discovery.
