Mission DiscoveryReviews of missiondiscovery.org

Our guide, Rita, made sure the group was safe and together so there was no fear of anyone missing as the group traveled through lines of customs. I was very impressed with the meals served for breakfast plus the meals at night, which were very delicious. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I was impressed by our rooms and accommodations.

I loved the community and how kind everyone was. It was Christ centered which was great. Also, it was very fun getting to help others and learn new skills while working.

Meeting new people, as well as making an impact with a great team was an excellent experience. Serving the people of Guatemala with such a God focused group really encouraged me. I loved the trip overall as well as the group mission discovery.

Serving the people of Guatemala was a humbling and enlightening experience. Their joy and resilience despite hardships made me appreciate my blessings and inspired me to help others. I hope to continue growing in faith and service. Thank you, Mission Discovery, for this opportunity.

The flow of everything was very smooth. From bus rides to accommodations, meals and schedules...this allowed us more time to focus on and efficiently serve the people of Guatemala.

What made my experience amazing was seeing all the peoples faces light up when we gave the medicine or food. They were so happy!

The people we served were so grateful. Our group worked well together without discord or pettiness.

Northside Church had a great experience with Mission DIscovery ! The Mission Discovery staff was so helpful with the required paperwork and details for the trip. Their patience with 35 humans is highly respected and appreciated! The purpose of the mission trip was to provide medical services to the people of Guatemala. We set up a stationary clinic and a pop up clinic. We conducted basic health screenings, distributed vitamins and prescribed medications and built relationships thru prayer with each patient. We treated about 350 patients. Northside participated in neighborhood food delivery and evening debriefs and devotionals. The evening praise and worship and "God Sightings", along with the message provided by Mission Discovery, was a great ending to each day! Mission Discovery did an exemplary job of creating unity between the local volunteers and the Northside team. It was a powerful testimony of cross-cultural partnership. It was also such an honor to serve along side the Tennessee group. This trip deepened the compassion of our church members and ignighted a flame to return home and continue serving God in our own community as missionaries. We identified how we could serve God in our own community. One suggestion for future trips: Serving more patients... Our practitioners are used to seeing a larger number of patients daily and felt they had a little too much "down time." Overall, it was an amazing first trip for our church and we loved working with Mission Discovery! We are already plannig a trip with Mission Discovery for next year!
