Metana Full Stack Bootcamp: one of the best learning experiences I’ve had
I came into Metana with about two decades in IT operations, networking, and security, and I’d been through plenty of courses and certifications. This was one of the best learning experiences I’ve had in any course or bootcamp. The learning experience was top notch. Every module builds on the last, and by the end you’ve gone from fundamentals to deploying a real application on your own server. The instructors don’t just teach the material. They review your actual code every week, give feedback that’s specific to what you built, and treat you like a developer rather than a student. Prabhashan Madurawala was my instructor through every module, and his reviews of my pull requests taught me as much as the curriculum did. Aaron Emmanuel guided my capstone, and when he told me to tighten up my README, keep my server current, and polish the interface before the final demo, that was the same feedback a senior engineer would give on a real project. The capstone is where it all comes together. I pitched my own project, built it over supervised sprints with weekly code reviews and progress reports, deployed it live, and presented it to a panel of instructors. A year ago I could not have built it. The program is the reason I could. One thing to know going in: you have to apply yourself and be willing to do the work. This isn’t a program you can coast through. But if you put in the time, it is extremely beneficial. You really do come out of it having learned a lot, and more important, having built something you can show people. If you’re serious about becoming a developer and willing to work for it, I’d recommend Metana without hesitation. Alee, Full Stack Bootcamp, 2026
