I'm not really sure why.I let this card creep up to such a high amount.Because the interest rate is higher than most of my other credit cards. I'm not really happy with the interest rate. It's costing me a lot of money to keep this balance. So I'm planning on targeting this card. To pay it off quicker than the others. Since it is a higher rate, and I must not have realized that when I was putting money on the card.

I had a company put a subsciption for auto order withiut my knowledge. When i contacted the company they told me too bad. When i contacted Mercury while the transaction was still pending they could nothelp me. If you catch a problem while pending Ibelieve you all shiuld be able to stopa fraudulant transaction before it is paid. The CSR was polite and professional, just not able to assist with the issue as i thought they ahould be able too. I feel there should have been an escalation or canceled payment as it was a pending transaction.

In general I was always happy with my mercury card. Recently though, I recieved information in the mail that due to my total debt amount, I would now have to pay an annual fee and my interest rate was to increase. This surprised me as my card was not maxed and I have never had a late payment. About two weeks after receiving that correspondence, the same card was given a credit line increase. This is so perplexing as I must have been seen as not as credit worthy to have my interest rate go up with an annual fee added, but you want me to spend more?! I feel like it's such a money grab move now. I always liked the card, but if I was able to pay off my balance I would close the card as I feel like Im being punished by the company and enticed to spend at the same time. It's a bad policy to do this to loyal card members. None of my other cards have raised my interest rate or added a fee.

This was my third card after rebuilding my credit. Just because I wasn’t using it they cancelled me, of course that hurts my score. For a card that isn’t that great {to build credit) they are In a hurry to hurt my near perfect score. Buyer beware, there must be better options.

I was happy to be approved for this credit card. However, I had a major problem just logging in. The site is not set up to accommodate those disabled with their hands. I am age 72 with Parkinson's disease. I have hand tremors hard to manage. When you enter a password there is no way on the site to show it to see if you have typed correctly. I did manage to get them to type my email correctly after they had it wrong. But I have not yet been able to get in. They locked me out repeatedly without saying why. Staff is not experienced with needs of the disabled. So if you are disabled, I suggest look elsewhere. I told hem I can pay by mail or by phone, which should be enough. But I will not be using their site at all. here is an email from mercury: I have an email from Mercury but no way to insert it here. My conversations were on phone or by text,

The application process was fast, and I was approved without much fuss. But - they omitted the second line of my address in their system, and without it, the piece of mail with the card bounced. Tried to add that second line online - system error, call this number. Called the number, asked for the card, they couldn't do it, because "the system" makes them wait 7-10 business days after changing the customer's address. (Mind you, it wasn't a change of address). So I have to call AGAIN 7-10 business days later. They didn't even offer to just mail the damn thing after 7-10 business days. I have to call again. And overnighting it costs $25. The site looks very old school.
