Exactly What You May Be Looking For
I've been a meditation teacher since around 2017, but I wanted to deepen my personal practice and sought an official meditation training. I joined one program back in 2021, but unfortunately, I had a deeply traumatizing experience, including facing sexual harassment. After that experience, I almost gave up on finding a meditation training that was both enriching and life-changing, while also beneficial for my own practice and teaching career. More importantly, after experiencing trauma, I needed a program that acknowledged trauma-informed practices. That's where Meditation University came in—it offered everything I was searching for. Kevin, the instructor, is a wealth of knowledge and truly inspiring. He’s open to continuous learning, recognizing that as yogis and meditators, we never stop growing. We aren't here to claim expertise, but to share love and the tools that work for us. I highly recommend Meditation University. What stood out most is that I wasn’t just trained in one form of meditation. The program offers a rich variety of teachers, perspectives and practices from all walks of life, allowing you to find what resonates best for you. This is so refreshing, especially in a wellness world that sometimes insists there's only one "right" way to meditate or one tradition that's superior. On a personal note, Kevin took the time to explore the meditation work I’ve been doing for years, acknowledging my efforts in a way that was incredibly validating. He could have easily overlooked it, but he didn't—and that meant the world to me. If you're looking to learn more about meditation, find community, or enrich your personal practice, I highly recommend Meditation University. The training is down-to-earth, accessible, and deeply rewarding. I’m proud to say that Meditation University played an important role in my journey—not just as a full-time meditation teacher, but in my life as a whole.
