Completely INSANE experience with Maytag. Brand new machine didn't work, requested refund.. they sent a new one instead. Same thing, didn't work, stupid "SMART" machines. I asked for a return they said oh first let us send out tech. Then said call a plumber. Sank money into plumber. Then sent another technician. Then said oh by the way when you were doing all these things and taking days off and spending money on a plumber your return date past so looks like its a you problem! Will ABSOLUTELY NEVER buy Maytag again.

I wish I could leave a zero start!!! I mean come on I bought my Maytag dishwasher because I wanted a trusted supplier with a good warranty.haha jokes on me. The dish washer broke within the first year had it fixed service told me it was a bad pump and ok replaced it!! 5 month later same issue. Now Maytag (whirlpool) telling me there’s nothing that can be done and the 10 year warranty doesn’t apply (it literally covers like 4 things) so I am stuck with a crazy expensive repair bill or I buy and extend warranty. WHAT A JOKE!. I thought you buy a Maytag if you want quality but they are worse in every way! Just save your money! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM (WHIRLPOOL). what a pice of junk!

Bought a $2500 Maytag refrigerator a little over two years ago and now they tell me it is unrepairable. They poorly design a product that can't be fixed and now they offer me 25% off to go buy another poorly designed Maytag refrigerator. I asked them if they thought I was nuts? I bought four other Maytag appliances at the same time as when I bought the refrigerator. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my 72 years. Please don't buy Maytag. If you have a problem you will be sorry.

Purchased a washing machine early Nov. 2024. Malfunctioned two weeks after buying. Still waiting for parts and it is 31DEC24! They refused to send me a new machine even as they have already spent a month trying to find a part!

My 7 year old Maytag washer was diagnosed on Oct 23, 2024 to have a faulty controller. At ~$400 for the part it was not worth repairing. Maytag service tech tells me about 15% loyalty discount if I buy another Maytag washer. I order it (MVW4505MW) that day. It was delivered October 31. My wife tries it an hour after delivery. Ear piercing metal on metal noise. Another Maytag service tech arrives November 1. Same noise and he smells smoke. Says it is DOA and should be replaced. He is on phone with Maytag HQ for over an hour - no resolution or agreement to replace. Same afternoon I call 2 times to try to get agreement to have it replaced. On phone for at least 60 minutes. CSR cannot help, the case is now with Safety department, could be 3 days for them to answer. Nov 4, I get a call offering a replacement or refund. The model we purchased is not in stock so I accept the offer to refund. I ask to issue credit to the card I used to buy it. They cannot do that - a cheque must be issued. This is INCREDIBLE. A company that size that cannot refund to the card used to purchase from them. I go to Rona and buy a Samsung washer. Cheque will be 2-4 weeks. Yes- 2-4 weeks! I follow up on Nov 18 looking for update. I get a response on Nov 25 advising the cheque will be sent in a few days. Cheque sent out for delivery Nov 28. Purolator cannot deliver because address is incomplete. Are you kidding me? 90 minutes on phone to Purolator to get address fixed. Cheque finally arrives Nov 29 - a month after the initial delivery. You can judge for yourself whether to buy from Whirlpool / Maytag. I will never deal with them again.

Beyond horrible. New washer died after 8 months. Now going on 3 weeks without a washing machine. They sent a "tech" and I use that term very loosely to "fix" it. We waited a few days for a part, didn't fix it. Tech says he doesn't know what the new code the machine is throwing means. He leaves and thats the last I've heard from anyone in two weeks. The customer service "chat" is totally useless. Its a combination of telling you the incredibly obvious (your work order is still open...) and generic copy and paste messages (We're real sorry about this...gosh if only we could somehow help...) Do NOT buy a Maytag or any Whirlpool product. Don't say I didn't warn you.

How do you get off selling a dishwasher with SEVEN parts missing?? I could not install the dishwasher in the only 3-hour window I had this month bc I only found out I was missing so may parts when I read the manual for installation. WHO SELLS AN APPLIANCE WITHOUT A POWERCHORD???? This is why China is winning - at least they deliver COMPLETE PRODUCTS instead of DECEIVING their customers. I will NEVER buy an American company's appliance again, and I'll tell everyone I know to never buy Maytag.

We bought a Maytag stove through Lowe’s thinking that it was a good brand and the oven has not held temperature properly from the beginning. Lowe’s has tried to work with us and Maytag, but Maytag will do nothing to help. They did send out a service guy to look at it and he confirmed there was a problem and Maytag threatened to charge us for the service call. we have been dealing with it for a year now through multiple phone calls and emails and all they do is get angry and say they won’t do anything. Definitely do not buy anything from Maytag if you value your money, and your time. So now we have a stove that we are not happy with and does not cook food properly but what does Maytag care? They got their money and that’s all that matters to them. It used to be that companies would stand behind their products, but apparently not anymore, and Maytag is a good example of this.
