I agree with the other reviewers that this CPE provider's site is easy to use and the subscription is affordable. By subscribing in the middle of the year I was able to cover 2 years' requirements with one subscription. However, I had issues with the content on many of the courses I took. Similar to one other reviewer, I found some of the exam questions to be ambiguous and subject to interpretation. Also similar to another reviewer, I ran across many typos, grammatical errors and some flat-out factual errors. I resorted to using Google to find answers to some questions and to clarify some of the course material. When your audience is accountants, whose job performance is very dependent on accuracy, your material needs to be accurate and typo-free. That matters to us. I also made sure to check the publication date on each course before I selected it, as some courses were at least a couple of years old. As rapidly as standards and regulations are changing these days, the material needs to be current to be relevant. I don't think I'll subscribe to this provider again, despite the favorable price.

The readings/questions are pretty solid, but I wish there were more options like videos.

Some Masters CPE's questions are not very clear, and the answers are hard to find in text. Also, there are grammatical errors which is a big "no" in this industry. I am on "passive losses" in tax section and there is a lot of redundancy. It is really hard to focus on the text for more than 30 minutes. I did not find material organized in a good manner. I used sequoia cpe for the last 3-4 periods, I think I am going back to them.

Many of the questions are not addressed in the training. I would like to be able to see what questions I got incorrect.

it is good, can be better, data written clearer and the questions more precise. goal is to learn from the data more than taking the tests

I chose MasterCPE because they were the most cost efficient way to complete my CPE requirements. However, I found the quality of their course material to below other providers. In many instances, the material presented was either out of date or the author's opinion. I will use them for another year because of my subscription but after that, I'll be going back to my old provider

I think MasterCPE could be rated a 5-star if they would hire a professional proofreader who understands the nuances of the English language. There are so many words that are spelled correctly, but used incorrectly in the context of the sentence. For a product that is designed to be "Continuing Professional Education", I don't think the product they offer looks very 'professional' given all the grammatical errors.

I am going to have to look for something new in another year. You need to update with new training and especially training on new GAAP rulings such as capital leases. I needed something on impairments and you don't have anything. I'd love to see a few more trainings on accounting issues and best practices for handling them.
