The MAHA Movie Gave Me the Missing Pieces
After watching the MAHA movie, I saw the coaching program that people could join. The more I learned from the movie, the more I was interested in learning more for my own health and made the leap to join the coaching program I had tried so many other online diet apps and even a personal coach years ago and nothing has even come close to the professional, knowledgable and personal interest in my goals and struggles than the coach I have with the coaching program! Bret has been so helpful and he can even help me through the mental end of the changes and past beliefs I have encountered.I have always been a thin gal and I never thought I would gain weight. After my first year of marriage in my mid 20s, I gained 10 pounds and I began to think I was fat at 115 pounds! Yeah, totally not a good mental assessment of myself. At 30, I became pregnant with my first child and I had a starting weight of 125. I gained 60 pounds during that pregnancy and it took a whole year to get back to 125. That was something I didn't get too upset about and was active and young enough to get it there. Then, I became pregnant with my second child and gained about the same. I never saw 125 again. It just kept creeping up over the years. I became health conscious and learned to listen to my body. Cut out soda in my late 20s, high fructose corn syrup was bad. There was no Google yet, so I relied on whatever I could find to be informed on healthy foods and supplements. I didn't take the best care of myself from 40 until 50 as I had gone through a divorce and money was tight. I drug my feet and soon found out that I had iron and Vitamin D deficiencies. Once I had a hysterectomy, my focus on my health was top of the list again to seeking how I can feel better from achy joints, sore muscles that were not from exercise, and lack of energy that couldn't be explained. I tried a personal coach that focused on macros and exercise to lose weight. I was so confused about macros and counting calories. I felt hungry all the time and the exercises were very difficult for me. Exercising just wasn't something I liked and felt it wasn't making me feel better, but actually felt worse. The amount of different supplements I chose to try, like shortcuts to losing lots of weight in a short time, just wasn't working. Needless to say, I learned from this coaching that I was changing things up so often, that nothing was going to work because my body couldn't set into anything with so many changes. Fast forward...after several different surgeries in my fifties for various reasons, I was now on heart meds from a heart attack at age 58. Just one of many changes in the past 13 years that led me to where I am now. I had hit an all time high weight of 188! I just cried and needed to figure out what I was going to do about it. I had tried for a couple months, GLP-1 treatment. Another shortcut. I had 2 side effects that wouldn't go away. That was the end of that. Then came the MAHA movie. That's when I took the leap of faith and signed up for the coaching program. It was the answer I was looking for! The few pieces of how, why, and when we eat, and the way our bodies work with the types of food we eat, fell into place and my "Aha" moment arrived! I now know so much more about food and how my body functions than ever before! I am down 9 pounds and the swelling has diminished from my legs and arms. I no longer feel bloated! My sleep is getting better all the time. My energy has increased. Overall, I look forward to even more education from Bret and the team through Zoom calls and individual coaching. THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming into my life and helping me and many others change their health, one day a time! Denise Wood
