withholding incentives over false reasons
Did a playtest for a game that is still in development joined group session which was rushed game is a simple shooter and they expect detailed verbal feedback on a basic shooter? did playtest, gave feedback, filled out every single open ended survey with reasoning and sound logic. Playtest ends, marked as confirmed and submitted. hear nothing so assume playtest is fine as according to their own rules and confirmation email and what was said in the group call. nothing for almost a month if not longer. message their support, get a manager from a totally different playtest at Lysto to investigate, it gets updated to approved and that payment is being processed. their AI checks the submitted recordings and so does a human by the way just to add that on. incentive does not arrive, messages with the organizer are turned off AFTER asking for update on the missing incentive, on the same day turned off as well. email them and their manager. they get in trouble for breaking the law and violating User Interviews ToS. Now my playtest is "rejected" suspiciously after all this time when they should contact you within 2 days of the playtest and never did. likely "rejecting" many others falsely. Stay away from Lysto, I have only done one playtest which was for Warhammer on there that was organized well all others have been utter shit or the app that handles the playtest just doesn't work at all when its over several days. all of this is submitted to User Interviews as well on this issue. The organizer should be banned and Lysto should be removed as it is a legit joke of a playtesting service/app compared to others such as Antidote or PlaytestCloud, even big triple AAA studios like Saber do a better job at this then Lysto. They even fail to process payments within 3-5 business days as stated on their app/website and are also based in India and do not inform you of the loads and I mean megaload of public holidays they have there causing delay after delay. Stay away regardless of how big the incentive is.
