Greece: Athens & Santorini
I'm gonna start with I make great decisions, and traveling with Luxe Tribes was a great decision! I turned a big age this year and wanted to celebrate it in a big way, which includes travel. I found Luxe Tribes because my phone was spying on me, and immediately started to look at their travel options, followed them on IG, and even reached out to some travel hosts to get more information. Instead of waiting for my wonderful friends to get it together, I decided I would see what group trips were happening on or around my birthday. And a group trip to Greece visiting Athens and Santorini was happening. These were destinations that have been on my hit list for a number of years, so it was meant to be. It was really easy to make payments and prior to the trip we had a Zoom call with almost all the ladies who'd be on the trip, joined a whatsapp group, and had easy access to our trip hosts to ask all the questions we had. The pre-travel work was pretty seamless. Now on to the trip. I've planned a number of international trips and I just wanted to not have to think. Luxe Tribes allowed me to pay my money and just show up. No thinking necessary. We received a full itinerary before we left, but everyday were were sent our daily itinerary. Our hosts were SO attentive, and able to advocate for us at all our excursions. The schedule is manageable, events are well-planned, and our transportation was top notch. And our host was with us at all times. Also, the additional tour guides for excursions and our photographers were just genuinely good people who wanted to share their place with us and make sure that we had the BEST experience ever. For our free day, even though our hosts wouldn't' be with us, they were ready to plan excursions for us. Truly exceptional service. For this trip, some meals were included, I don't know if it's just a Greece thing, but most of the meals we had were multiple course meals with A LOT of food. So there was very little additional food I needed to purchase. I think the biggest question for me was "who all gonna be there." We had the zoom, but that isn't necessarily helpful in really knowing who will be there. I was a solo traveler, so I didn't know anyone else. There were a few groups of folks who did know each other. But we were all there for the same reason, to have a wonderful experience. I got to meet a bunch of beautiful Black women and have a tremendous shared experience with them. I don't have all the words to express how great this trip was and I plan on taking another Luxe Tribes trip because it was even better than advertised.
