If you're wondering about online lending, I recommend LoanUp for three reasons: 1) The process was EASY! - Having never done online lending before, I had a bit of a learning curve but LoanUp made the process of setting up my account information and verifying my data very painless. 2) LoanUp is safe and reputable. - As most people my age are, I was concerned with dealing with finances over the internet; however, LoanUp is a member of the OLA (Online Lending Alliance), which ensures that its members are on the "up and up" and ensures industry best practices. - In addition to being an OLA member, LoanUp makes use of 256-bit SSL encryption, which means that whatever data is going between you and LoanUp is just as safe as between your computer and your wireless signal. I actually felt a bit safer dealing with LoanUp than Wells Fargo as Wells Fargo is a much bigger target for would-be data thieves 3) LoanUp's website was simple (as stated above) but, more importantly, all the steps were clear.
