I've used levels.fyi twice. The first time I was negotiating with a single FAANG company and was way out of my depth. My recruiter was able to retrieve detailed data on comp ranges. Coupled with a strong interview loop, I was able to secure a high end package for my level. The net gain was around 40k total. My second experience with levels was a different situation. I was actively looking for a new role and was fielding several offers. The nuance here is juggling timelines and keeping doors open.
