I have written a review about my past experience with this company, which was an absolute nightmare and disaster. I tried to give them another chance today, as I am temporarily living in China and had to make three phone calls to their company and have waited over 15 hours for them to try to fix my account, which they could not get to operate, even after elevating the problem to their highest level support so I gave my business to DISCOUNT CONTACTS and if all goes well will NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN! A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! Finally if anyone reads my prior review regarding my last experience , the company originally had stated that “the lenses were shipped to me in China and once received I should send back and then they would issue a refund even though the order was incorrect due to their agents mistake” and THE LENSES NEVER ARRIVED! GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU CAN!!!

The one time I decided to shop around for more affordable contacts, I found the shadiest option of them all, my opinion, of course. Lens.com will advertise a very low price, with the help of a rebate. So, I added a few items to the cart and am happy with the total. I go to check out, see the option for $9.95 shipping, put in all my payment info, and process my payment. I got to the confirmation page, and lo and behold, the price was almost $100 more than what was in my cart, and the displayed shipping was still only $9.95, so you can imagine my confusion. They hide almost a 30% upcharge of the total as a taxes and fees charge but do not display it on the payment page; instead, they display it on their shipping page underneath all the shipping options. SHADY! That's not the worst part. Immediately, within 5 minutes I am on their live chat to request a cancellation and refund (even if their price was the best available, which, with the fee, it is not). I will not do business with a shady operation like this. The agent recognizes the issue and refuses to process my cancellation and refund. I immediately called AMEX to process a chargeback.

$290 tax on 8 boxes of 90 day daily contacts!!! The deal may pull you in, BUT pay real close attention to the final price. I called thinking there was a glitch but the sales person quoted “the tax” of $290 as if it were a perfectly reasonable number

I have ordered through here a few times and the ordering has been easy. I needed contacts and on Friday, 01/05/2024, they offered a FedEx Overnight option for $27, a FedEx next day ( 1 business day) for $24 and then the 2 day and standard shipping. I selected overnight as FedEx delivers, in my area on Saturdays and knew that would be perfect. They didn't ship until Sunday And when I chatted in today, Monday 01/08/2024, I was advised that they only deal in business days. Which does not make sense with the shipping options I was provided. Also, when I attempted to duplicate this today, the FedEx Overnight option is not there and it is not on their shipping FAQs page. Then they won't submit an ECR case after an order is shipped or refund the shipping fee after an order is shipped. Which makes no sense.

Have been ordering from them for years and then finally (I'm ashamed to say it took me this long) I broke out the calculator and discovered the "taxes and fees" surcharge that they conveniently hide in all the checkout screens. So not only do all those rebates I've gotten from them in the past require cutting out box tops, mailing them and the form off and waiting 6-9 months to get the rebate debit cards, but the price including the rebate and taxes/fees for 8 boxes of lenses was $23 cheaper than Costco. Um, no thank you. Ugh, wish I'd noticed this sooner.

Their website will advertise a very low price, supposedly aided by a rebate. Which isn't unheard of for contacts so you let your guard down. So you go to check out, put in all your information, and at the last step you see the price is WAY higher than it was advertised, even after the rebate. They completely hide a massive amount of "taxes and fees" that more than double the advertised price. Not to mention their rebate program is intentionally designed to make it hard to claim and takes a significant amount of time to pay out.

This company is the king of bait and switch pricing practices. They show an upfront price/cost and then when you get to the checkout area, they add service fees that aren't $2, but nearly double the price of the contact lenses. Hundreds of dollars. Complete unethical scam.

Thieves! They advertise false pricing! When you check out you'll see that at the very last step they add on an enormous service fee (mine was $102 for a $50 order!) This is so their lenses look like they are the best price when you are using Google shopping for price comparison. The lady in the call center was rude and couldn't explain what the 'service fee' was even for!! (It's a separate fee to shipping and handling which was already added) Somebody needs to take action with this company!!
