Selling Brooklyn Bridge
After putting two boxes of contact lenses at $108 each in the shopping cart, Lens.com takes me to a page to place the order where the total is $310. How? Why? Where is the Brooklyn bridge?

I’ve been a customer of theirs for years, never had a problem until today! I referred friends and then they stopped using them because they had problems and I kept saying I don’t know. I’ve never had a problem. Well now I’ve had a problem. I placed my yearly order in the middle of May and shortly after I started having a problem with my eyesight. I went and saw my doctor and we came to the conclusion that my eyesight was changing due to the chemotherapy drugs that I have been given for the last seven months due to the breast cancer that I have been fighting. Not only is my eyesight changing, but I also am going to need eye surgery so the contacts that I had just ordered. I had just opened the box because I was about to send away for the rebate but I had not used any of the contacts, but I had called the company and asked if I could return them even though the policy states you can’t open the box. Due to the circumstances of having the chemotherapy poison pumped through my veins for the last seven months and being a customer for so long and never having done this she said that they would let me return them since I would eventually be purchasing a new prescription and it was extenuating circumstances. So she send me the return label. I fill everything out mail it back a month ago and today I get a phone call saying they will not accept my return. It’s against your policy and I can either pay $15 to have them shipped back to me or they’ll destroy them and I’m out my $300 completely with no refund, and that surgery is not a reason to return them. so I explain the situation again to this woman and tell her about my previous conversation thinking it’s all noted in the account clearly it’s not and she basically says oh well says they destroy them and I don’t get a refund at all or I can pay $15 and have them back to me. This is absolutely ridiculous. So now I’m another $15 on top of the $300 that I’ve already paid for these contacts that will probably go to waste now because my vision has changed. So ridiculous and sad-you’ve lost a longtime customer lens.com!!! Never ordering from you again!!!!

The initial email said contacts would be delivered between 7-12 and 7-16. It’s the 18th and I just received a message that said my contacts were just mailed. I’ve gone without contacts for a week now. NEVER again!

Stay away from this company! Worst site to order contacts from!!! They overcharged me on my contacts and then after 2 months of calls and trying to get my money back they told me I was out of the 1 month warranty period!! Don't waste your time here, they are scammers!!

Deceptive adds talking about low prices. Then you must pay the full price and send in a rebate like your back in the 80s. You also must order a ridiculous amount of lenses even to qualify for the rebate and we know how that will go with them hoping you forget or make it hard to get done. When you go to complete your order a outrageous fee is added along with the taxes.

Ordered contacts online. Had a glitch using a mobile browser with the shopping cart - I removed several boxes of contacts that somehow added themselves back when the order went through. I reach out IMMEDIATELY to the company to adjust the order, which they would not. In addition, there was a TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR FEE that was not made clear at the time of purchase. This company is deceptive, predatory, and unhelpful. KYS lens.com.

The only reason you should order from this company is if you prefer to have your money stolen from you without receiving what you actually ordered. To give you a back-story, I spent nearly $400 to order multiple 6-pack boxes of MONTHLY lenses, and to my surprise, was sent 6 tiny two-pack boxes of DAILY contact lenses, enough to last me less than two weeks. What surprised me even more was that one of the boxes was tampered with and contaminated with some residue present in the lens container, which is a violation of the FDA and Federal Trade Commission regulation that contact lenses have. I immediately e-mailed their customer service department, and didn’t hear a response back for about ONE WEEK. In my e-mail, I asked why I had received daily lenses instead of monthly lenses and also brought up their contaminated product. They only offered to give me $20 for the contaminated product, and did not refund me for the incorrect products that were sent to me. I then voided the payment with my bank to get my proper refund, but they reversed this attempt by claiming that I had started to use the contact lenses that they had sent to me, when I had no choice to since I had ran out and did not expect to be sent a product different from what I ordered. Despite trying to escalate this concern to management, it took them almost three months to get back to me regarding my concern. This is when they decided to also mention that the product actually was a monthly lens (written in the tiniest print in the back of the package), even though it had “DAILY” written in all caps in the front and back of the packaging. It’s fair to say that I will be calling the FDA regarding their contaminated product and also strongly recommend against ordering from this company given my disappointing experience. You are better off taking your money and ordering from any other contact lens supplier who actually makes an effort to ensure that their customer is satisfied. I’m sorry to have wasted three months with a sub-par and unsatisfying company known as Lens.com.
