Disappointing Bank
I'm very disappointed in this bank. They were referred to me by my attorney who is handling my mother's estate, assuring me that they would redeem savings bonds. When I tried to open up an estate account in which to deposit the bonds, they said they had to run it through their legal department, who chose not to offer me an account because I've had no prior relationship with them. They said they wouldn't open an account just for me to deposit the bonds and I guess then they thought I would just close the account. What is an estate account for but to settle someone's estate by paying all of the outstanding bills and making the distributions? I've wasted almost a week waiting for an answer from their legal department, which doesn't seem right to begin with, only to be told that they can't help me. Dealing with my parents' death has been difficult enough for me without having to go through this headache.
