The worst agency experience we have had in a decade
The worst agency experience we have had in a decade of buying marketing. We hired KlientBoost in March 2026 to run Google Ads and Meta for our home-buying company and ended it in September. Over that time we put about $42,000 CAD through the accounts under their management and paid close to $10,000 USD in fees. Their own onboarding document set the goal at 60 to 70 leads a month with a $150 cost ceiling and quoted a $7 to $10 cost per click. Their own July report counted 61 leads in four months at $277 to $513 each. By July the account was averaging $72 a click, with keywords at $140 to $170. About a quarter of the target, at two to three times the cost ceiling. Two months in, our growth manager left. We were told the handover would mean more support. The departing manager left end dates on both campaigns, so the ads silently stopped at the end of May. We were the ones who noticed. On the July 8 call the new manager had not read the onboarding document, and the campaigns included ages 18 to 24 and the wrong cities. We asked for a city to be removed on May 13 and were told it was done. It was still running on July 8. In August a search campaign spent $2,198 for 33 clicks with zero conversions recorded. Google's own diagnostics flagged it "Misconfigured" and the account showed no conversion actions recording at all. Nobody at the agency caught it. We found it by pulling the account through the Google Ads API. When we asked in writing for an explanation, we got a two-line "we are reviewing" reply and then silence. The next weekly report claimed 23 conversions at a $279 cost per acquisition and, in the same email, admitted the conversion type "needs verification." The Meta report blamed zero leads on a pixel not firing while the pixel was logging lead events. Their tag container never carried a Google conversion tag at all. We installed our own. Fixes promised "by tomorrow" arrived days later. A "make good" promised for July 31 arrived in mid-August. Responses for anything always took 2-3 days, and were often "were looking into it". If you are a small business that needs the account actually watched, look elsewhere. We would not hire them again or recommend them under any terms.
