Misleading “Acrobat Pro 2025” license – missing features, threats instead of support
I purchased an alleged “Adobe Acrobat Pro 2025” perpetual license from KeyUpNow via Groupon. The product does not match the description at all. 1. The installed software does not show “Pro” in the license information, so it is clearly not a fully licensed Acrobat Pro version. 2. Key Pro features that were explicitly advertised are missing or unusable: PDF/A creation, custom stamps and PDF comparison do not work. 3. For these functions, the software demands an additional upgrade component purchased directly from Adobe, which should already be included in a genuine Acrobat Pro 2025 license. This purchase is not even possible with the supplied key, because Adobe does not accept my location (Germany) in combination with this license. 4. Security‑relevant updates and improvements cannot be downloaded, as updates are disabled by a “system policy”, unlike with a normal Pro version. 5. AI‑assisted features do not work at all, even though they were explicitly advertised in the offer. 6. The seller refuses any real solution and instead sends threatening emails (talking about “Friendly Fraud”, debt collection, reporting me to Adobe), although I am only complaining about software that is clearly not as described and functionally deficient. Groupon simply hides behind the seller and denies a refund. 7. Not even Groupon can provide a proper company address for KeyUpNow – only an email contact. In my view, this is a clear case of misrepresentation of the so‑called “Acrobat Pro 2025” license. I strongly advise others to stay away from this seller.
