Over the last month I unknowingly picked up $121 in fees for automated transfers from a line of credit. They refunded $30. Thats really kind of petty. So for 90 something dollars passed off and considering banking elsewhere. Ill problem stick around but the relationship os soured.

I arrived at the Valley Stream branch at exactly 5:00 PM, straight from work, specifically to have a check printed. To my disbelief, the staff had already shut down operations and were standing around behind the front desk. I repeatedly asked if the branch was closed, and all five employees completely ignored me as if I wasn't even there. Not a single person had the decency to acknowledge me or answer a simple question. This level of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and poor customer service is completely unacceptable. Customers should not be treated as an inconvenience, especially when arriving at the posted closing time. If this is how account holders are treated, I have no interest in continuing to do business with this bank. I will be moving my money elsewhere as soon as possible and sharing my experience with others

It is impossible to use this credit union. Zelle does not work with it. My accounts went inactive (because Zelle didn't work so it was useless to me), and so I've had years of inactivity fees. In order to just close my accounts and get my money, I have to send my driver's license and a HANDWRITTEN LETTER. This is just ridiculous. No one else makes you do this. Just stealing my money, being useless. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Jovia Financial Credit Union treats their customers like garbage. They will not stand by their customers. If there are any issues that require intelligence that is higher than a chimpanzee's, your issue will not be addressed. I highly recommend that this business be avoided. That is my opinion.

This bank has put my account on hold, meaning froze my account for a check I deposited, they did not make me aware that this could happen and now I’m stock with a frozen account and my Check there too, the check is my the united state treasury, there is no way they could really think someone can go personally to make a check deposite like that.. I have called many times and every time I get a different answer and that it could take up to 15 days to finish the investigation….

Jovia Financial added a $3,500 penalty to my auto loan because of a lapse in insurance coverage for 3 months. I have an auto loan with Jovia and have been making payments on time every month. My auto insurance carrier (State Auto) was acquired by Liberty Mutual and when they migrated my policy over there was an error and the policy lapsed for 3 months before I found out and got a new policy. Jovia added a penalty of $3,500 to the balance of my auto loan and increased my monthly payments. I didn't find out about this until I got a call from Jovia collections and my credit report was hit with a late payment for being 30 days past due despite making monthly payments on time for the amount on the loan agreement. The monthly auto insurance payment for both of my cars is $300 total, and the penalty Jovia is charging for insurance coverage on only one car is $3,500 for three months, $1,167 per month for insurance on one vehicle. I've been in touch with Jovia attempting to get a resolution on this but at this point they've said they'll do nothing to help. My credit rating has dropped significantly as a results of the negative report.
