Worst experience ever with Onyx Business Academy
I signed up to Onyx Business Academy, paid the retainer (1K out of 8K which would be paid monthly 1.5K per month), and had a "bonus call" with them. There's really not much on the website but I fell for all the promises and good reviews they "receive" and post on IG. I changed my mind later and tried to get the retainer back but they refused PLUS said I was forced to pay the remaining even if I decided not to join the course 😀 They also charged me right when I signed the contract even though the agreement was that I'd start paying in the coming month. My overall impressions: - They're too young and inexperienced to charge 8K+ in group coaching (not even 1:1) and I regret so much not noticing it earlier. - Bonus call was a waste of my time, my main goal was to understand what niche I should focus but they never gave me a response or how to test the waters etc. Just said whatever I have "passion for" would work but then dismissed the business idea I had. - Total lack of transparency is a huge red flag: What are the 100+ modules they say they offer? Can we just have the title? Not even after paying the retainer had I had access to any modules at all. I asked to get access to a couple of them just so I could get started ahead of time and they said no. I strongly discourage anyone who is interested in their course. 13 weeks of group coaching with under-30 inexperienced coaches and mysterious modules are honestly not worth 8K USD. Don't look for shortcuts, look for either someone transparent and experienced or then do your own research as there's so much available online.
