Javitch Block LLC - unprofessional, despicable, vermin
My Experience with Javitch Block LLC My experience with Javitch Block LLC was extremely frustrating and concerning. I was sued over an alleged consumer debt in May 2026. From the beginning, I disputed the debt and repeatedly requested documentation to substantiate it, including the account’s ownership and assignment history, payment history, dates relevant to the statute of limitations, and evidence establishing that the debt was legally enforceable. Despite making approximately 27 requests and communications seeking documentation, I did not receive the information I was requesting or what I considered an adequate substantive response. I ultimately prepared and filed a motion to dismiss challenging the legal enforceability of the claim, including the statute-of-limitations issue. No response to my motion was filed. I appeared for a scheduled court hearing on August 14, 2026, prepared to address the case. The attorney of record did not appear, and substitute counsel obtained a continuance. This required additional time and effort on my part to prepare for and attend court without the matter being resolved. Afterward, attorney Taylor Witt told me additional documentation would be provided, including through UPS. I never received the promised documentation. I eventually reached a separate settlement with Portfolio Recovery Associates and PRA Group, which included release of the alleged debt and dismissal of the related collection litigation. That resolution did not resolve my concerns about the conduct I experienced from Javitch Block and its attorney. As a consumer, I believe people should receive meaningful responses when they dispute a debt and request documentation supporting a collection lawsuit. Consumers should not have to spend substantial time preparing legal filings, repeatedly seeking basic account information, and attending court while still waiting for answers. I have filed a complaint in federal court concerning these events and the conduct described above. My claims remain allegations to be determined through the legal process. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage anyone dealing with this firm to keep detailed records, save every communication, make requests in writing, and carefully document court deadlines and proceedings.
