1) My advise to iuniverse isto assign a focal point to new authors and give this position enough power to be the conductor in front of the orchester. I find it very unpleasant to deal with so many different people and different departments who usually do not reveal who the person is sending me messages. 2) My book is for sale without the three reviews in it and I find it very difficult to believe that this meets iuniverse's quality standards, it certainly does not meet mine. Takes lots of money to even get the book a little bit out there, plus had some slow experience with my marketing consultant since he kept delaying on talking to me after I've emailed and called numerous times, though its an easy way to get a book published and everything else was decent.

There was only one major glitch that I'd like to comment on. Initially, I was told that the package I purchased covered a project up to 100,000 words.No problem; my script was only 52,000 words. Then came the developmental editing review which was incredibly helpful. However, after addressing the developmental editing suggestions and putting a lot of time and effort into the book, it grew to 72,000 words. At that point, I was told I had to pay more money because the changes were more than 10% of the original submission. The cost was another $500 Cn. Money I didn't have. So instead, I removed 10,000 words. This was a horrible exercise and I felt cheated and manipulated.

I took advantage of a half price sale which was great. The editorial review was terrible and nothing but a high pressure effort to get me to spend a hell of a lot to edit. The book itself looks good but they added one too many images. I wasn't happy with the retail price $28.99. I think it's going to be hard to sell on Amazon. I paid for a web site and am still waiting for that. How can I sell the book without the website. Way too slow here and I haven't had a chance to have any input yet.

I feel like I spent a lot of money for eleven books. I kept getting phone calls wanting more money to promote my book. Seems to me that around $2000 should have done it. I like the book and am proud of it although there is a bad grammatical mistake that I missed and so did they but won't correct. Now I am waiting to see what is next, if there is a next. Very disappointed!!!

Paying for the extra editing isn’t worth it. Just go with the basics. Expect some communication breakdowns during editing, publishing, and marketing.

i Universe puts out a superior book product. The other services were sub-par especially the pricing of my book which IUniverse insisted must be way too low. I have lost a lot of money as a result.

The final product of the book turned out good. Could have been better if we could have placed some images (pictures, etc) in it. There was some miscommunication involving different departments. In the end, it turned out to be a very expensive project. There was no follow-up involving the marketing people. We probably will go with a different publishing company next time.
