This is so annoying. My teacher is FORCING us to do it at home on top of our homework because SOME OF US don't do it in class. 15 minutes a DAY and 75 MINIMUM. It's so absurd.

This is the crappiest software of the internet. It gives stress and forcefeeding info into your brain and it is meant to IMPROVE SCHOOL but it literally makes it SO MUCH WORSE

Iready was a horrid website for learning. I feel we can all agree with this. A good video essay to watch is “SnipeSnap”’s “Your Teacher Doesn’t Care That iReady is Broken.” You are treated like a young child no matter the age, except you are on your own, and stuck with this fear—or anxiety—bumbling within you as the diagnostic—a exam which is rigged, trying to find a child’s statistics instead of where they could be improving—had been approaching. Teachers and students both agree about the toxicity of this website, and better replacements. Khan academy for example, a child goes through a lecture like a teacher had been teaching them, and not just a quiz. Honestly, this review won’t be read, but if you are a curriculum executive deciding if iReady is in the curriculum and classroom, then just tell them no.

alright alright. there are kids on here (including myself) that just hade doing work and target sites like these. but we NEED to address this, and no, this isn’t just me hating, it’s the TRUTH. iReady is quite possibly the worst form of school work made by the hand of mankind. i remember in 3rd grade it was introduced to us and we liked it, then just absolutely hated it after 5 weeks. this is their biggest issue. there is NO engagement factor on this site. the lessons are long as hell, and are so boring to the point where i’m questioning my existence staring at a chromebook with a problem asking me to find the slope of y=6x+4. no one ever wants to use it. let me tell you this as well. i used to have the greatest grades in my school. valedictorian. but then, supervillain iReady shows up, and my grades TANKED because i just never did them. my school mandates 50. minutes. of time a week. that is almost an hour i could have spent with my friends or just enjoy some time. every time we are told to do iReady if we’re done we sigh and slam our heads on our desks in pure agony knowing we’re about to spend the slowest 30 minutes of our lives. there is just nothing i can say that’s remotely positive about this site. not even the nerds like the site. every time i log on i punch my computer and sob. it’s so bad i heard my TEACHER yes my TEACHER say she hates it and feels sorry for having to assign it. there is no variation in the lessons exept the topic (and within the topic they are still the same). i encourage you, go on iReady, do ONE LESSON and you will question who designed this form of electronic torture. we either need to get rid of iready or just toss all of it and start anew.
