I bought a FAYTX24HL for my 96 Harley this past April, now 12 -1/2 months later the battery and the bike came out of hibernation, and lasted 3 or 4 rides this year. then nothing, won't start the bike or take a charge. Brought it back to the Interstate dealer (real dealer not a shop) and was told I could get a core charge for it and nothing else. My John Deere lawn tractor has an Interstate in it as well, almost a year old. My 2016 Jeep still has its original battery, but none of them will ever see another Interstate battery!

Interstate SRM-24 RV Deep Cycle Battery failed at 14 months; just after the 12 month warranty expired. Was installed in a new RV with a solar charging system and when out of the RV last winter, on a trickle charger. Will never purchase another Interstate Battery of any type again. Same Group Series 24 battery at Sam's Club is $91 versus $159 for this junk Interstate battery. Same 12 month warranty but much less expensive with better reliability from previous experience.

Had an interstate battery in my dump trailer, only use was to lift and lower the dump bed, lasted 1.5 years, would not hold a charge after that. Called customer service to see if they'd do anything and they even told me that it only had a 6 month warranty on it, that should tell you something about quality.

Had a 8 month old $230 Interstate Battery Fail. Fully charged overnight and wouldn't test over 10 volts. Charged it again overnight with different charger just to make sure. Tested 9.4 volts. Brought it to the Interstate retailer in Fargo. First guy bench tested it and said it was still good and there must be something wrong with my car cables or starter. When I explained to the 19 year old, I have been an electrician for over 40 years and a car has never started on 9 volts, he sent me to his manager. He also stated the battery tested just a little weak and it was probably my cables, even though I could see his meter read under 10 volts. These bozos are obviously given a script to send unknowing people on a wild goose chase, when in fact their battery is clearly bad. They did honor the warranty but certainly not in an honorable way. I'm sure they use these tactics on all customers. A new, fully charged battery should hold 12.5 volts and up. 11.5 volts is a weak battery, under 10 volts is junk and won't start any car.

Only buy from Wal Mart. If you buy a interstate battery and have a problem. You have to take it to were you bought and wait for them to charge it. Then Thay will test it and tell you it is your vehicle not their battery. Wal Mart will hand you a new battery.

This was the worst battery I ever used used in my life it ruined my business for two years. Had I known a battery company is willing to destroy some body else’s business to desperately make a dollar I would have never bought from them the first didn’t event last past 1 month and the second only 3 months and thinking that it was my starter or spark plugs, or distributor it was the raggedy battery under hood.
