Awful scheduling experience
This is not a review of the quality of the test, but a review of the blood draw scheduling process and service required by the InsideTracker service. Blood draws must be completed at Quest Diagnostics and at least where I live (San Francisco Bay Area) the only tests I could find within the next week were afternoon tests. Since you need to have fasted for 12 hours, that means you don't eat or drink anything other than water until after lunch. Customer service from Quest is pretty much non-existent. The website and scheduling process is awful. You need to click on each location and then click through for available slots instead of being able to search for a location based on your availability. Edit: I've upped my stars from 1 to 3 because the InsideTracker folks responded with a timely response and some suggestions on scheduling a mobile draw etc (see their response below). Also, I emphasize that this is not a review of the quality of the test but of the user experience of scheduling the blood draw itself.
Response from InsideTrackerSep 7, 2023
We apologize for the limited availability of Quest services in your area. I took a look and saw some open appointments at the Valencia St location next Wednesday in the morning. I would also recommend checking throughout the day as there are often cancellations which will open new time slots. We also offer a convenient Mobile Blood Draw service that can come to your home, eliminating the need to schedule through Quest. While I am unable to access your account with just your first name, if you are interested in exploring the Mobile Blood Draw option, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. They will be more than happy to assist you, and I will ensure the team is aware of your issue.
