I used to love this detergent. They were out of patchouli for a long while but recently restocked. The scent is almost non existent. It used to last for weeks, months even for closeted items. Now the scent wont even freshen up clean sheets from storage. The detergent is also thin like water. The companies excuse was because the essential oil is not always as strong each time and it would get stronger with age. I don’t buy detergent to let it sit for a year. They offered me $20 to go towards another order- but I would have had to pay shipping plus that doesn’t even cover the price of one bottle. I’m sticking with Clean People detergent. Clean People is consistent and you know exactly what you’re getting will be the same for each order. I will never buy from indigo wild (zum) ever again. Excuses over customer service is not acceptable.

**Disappointed Long-Time Customer – Noticeable Change in Product Quality** I have been purchasing Zum Frankincense products for quite some time and have always been very satisfied with their quality. Unfortunately, my most recent order was a completely different experience. The scent was noticeably weaker and different from previous purchases, and the overall quality did not meet the standard I have come to expect from Zum. Because I have used these products for years, the difference was immediately apparent. More concerning, both my senior mother and I developed allergic reactions after using these products. We have used Zum Frankincense products in the past without experiencing any issues, so this raised concerns that something may have changed with this batch or formulation. I contacted Zum directly to report my concerns. While they responded promptly and courteously, their recommendation was simply to return the products through iHerb because they do not process orders placed through that retailer. Although I understand that iHerb handles returns, I was disappointed that my concerns about product quality and the reported reactions did not appear to be addressed or investigated. As a long-time customer, I believe manufacturers should take quality-related feedback seriously, particularly when customers report noticeable differences and potential adverse reactions. Returning or replacing the products resolves the transaction, but it does not address the underlying quality concerns. I hope Zum takes customer feedback seriously and investigate situations like this to ensure consistent product quality.

The company will not help if there is an issue with the products like the one I had. I have been a loyal customer for many years and only once had a problem with their products. I felt the product I purchased had changed drastically from the original product that I ordered and the company wants me to pay shipping back. They have a tendency to alter scent profiles without informing anyone so you can end up with something that either was a mistake in production or just an arbitrary alteration. If you don't like the result, believe me, they do not care at all. Customer retention is clearly not a concern for them. Too big to care, maybe?

Terrible customer service. Everytime you try to get help they just send the same copy paste answers and don't even try to address the problem.

Very dissapointed. Ive been ordering from zum since the late 90's. Im a big fan of the the frankincense myrrh laundry soap. Well, WAS. Until it started staining and ruining my expensive linen sheets and my clothes. Ive found multiple reviews on tiktok and reddit as well. Company offered absolutely no help so im trying to spread the word to help others not destroy $300 sheets.

Awesome company based in KC, MO, where we used to live and became familiar with their delic smelling products. They offer AMAZING oils, soaps, candles, etc. Their Frankincense Zum oil is our all-time, absolute favorite. (Not just from their brand, but from ANY brand on the planet! :)
