Was sold the family membership at a fire station sales pitch along with Legal Shield. Legal Shield works great however, somehow the salesman who set this up, messed up and set the master account to my wife and the slave account to me unknowingly I set up all the ID shield in my name, and started to download all the micro trend products to add on low and behold they were all seven day trials, and everything wanted my ID Immediately contacted Legal Shield/ID shield and said what’s going on this is all included in my monthly family membership. It’s been eight weeks and 3 1/2 hours on the phone. They cannot get this right ID shield points to micro micro trend points to ID shield and then they take my money as if everything works just fine. Well it’s eight weeks now and I finally called because last time I talked to they said something needed to be reset and it would take a few business days and when I called today it was as if I’ve never talked to these people in my life and it’s been 3 1/2 hours of my life I’ll never get back well. How about we cancel the family membership and I want a full refund for the eight weeks that it has never worked from the day I signed up so be. Leary, some people say it’s a good product, but it seems that they’re a new company and somewhat incompetent and technical support because they use a third-party and the right hand and the left-hand. Do not communicate well. Good luck.

I've been an IDShield member for a few years now and felt good about the safety net until we started getting EFTPS notifications from the IRS with business names attached to our home address. I called and the customer service representative didn't know how to help (barely knew how to speak English) so she transferred me to someone higher up. After explaining my situation there was a long pause and then a sigh and a "so how can I help you?" I again reiterated that I would like to make sure that my ID wasn't stolen as suspected by the IRS letters we are getting in the mail. She said "we don't monitor that" as coldly and matter of factly as she could followed by another sigh and silence. I asked, "what do you monitor in regards to our home address?". She said "the dark web" followed by another silence and annoyed sigh (I could literally hear her rolling her eyes). I said "OK thanks" and promptly hired a new ID protection service. Maybe this lady was having a bad day, but the anxiety I felt was actually worse after my interactions with IDShield. The other reason for the 1 star review is that they migrated their website to a new server but didn't tell us so I couldn't login to my account. When I was finally able to login, all of my personal information was gone and I was left wondering if they were even really monitoring our ID. Plus, we have the family plan and I'm primary and they make my wife have a completely separate login and account number. Very frustrating user experience for the website - forget the app, it's just basically a link to the website.

Failed to let me know I needed to setup Alert in order to get alerts, yet IDShield process payments each month.

We chose to pay for the legal "benefit" through my husband's employer, and our 22 year old daughter needed to file bankruptcy, so she paid ID Shield $1400 and Jeff didn't even help her understand that loans with a cosigner won't be forgiven- they'll just become the sole responsibility of the other party. That loan was the ONLY reason she filed, and all Jeff can say is, "uh, sorry." The paperwork asks about co-debters, but she didn't know what that meant, and he didn't walk her through it, or take the time to explain or describe anything to her. If a bankruptcy lawyer asks even ONE question, he/she should ask if the loan the client wants forgiven is in anyone else's name. That would have been a very simple question for her to answer. She said that he had her on the phone for 2 minutes and he was in a big hurry to get her off the phone. He was negligent. He does this every day. Our daughter doesn't. He screwed her over. And we later learned of another firm that charges a flat fee of $749. So, she was swindled out of an extra $650, her credit is ruined for 10 years, and the debt she needed forgiven wasn't. DON'T use these guys. They're incompetent jerks.

ID Shield is a piece of junk. We signed up last month. Their website is glitchy, the links don't work. I've tried ID Shield customer support and got varied responses. My Safari and Google browsers are up to date, history, cache and cookies cleared and still the same garbage. I've spent numerous hours on the phone with them. Calling customer support is a waste of time. The most valuable piece of information I received is to go to (my dot lsengage dot com forward slash technicalsupport) and enter information along with screen shots. I can't believe the response is to use the phone when all their IT people have to do is fix their links.

Because I have never been able use it since I signed up with you guys. I wrote you and all the credit company a note saying someone is using my information and I got nothing back from anyone.
