The Asian? woman on the phone was absolutely rude. Told me they can’t give me services and when I requested an email saying that for my community service leader….. she told me no. So now I got denied and no proof I was denied. I’m disabled so they couldn’t assist me. The woman also told me she was based in the Netherlands but used a Florida phone number. Which she blocked me from calling on………. She stated there’s no manager or supervisor plus it’s $10 an hour.

It's more of a labour exchange than a non commercial organisation. They forget to mention that they charge a lot of money for placing an advertisement. Perhaps it is time to take a commission for the fact that people offer their help out of kindness and someone profits from it. Disappointment!!!!

It's like whatever I type in the filter is fully ignored. I typed in archivist and it showed me director positions for various other jobs. I typed in research assistant and it showed me a bunch of unrelated stuff. I typed in data entry and it was like "Oh you want a VP job!?" The filter is worthless.

Idealist.org operates as a "non-profit" but seems unduly concerned with "paid" posts for their own profiteering at the expense of organizations. We posted several Volunteer opportunities of a generic nature and got zero responses. Whereas, at the same time posted the exact same listings at another site and have almost 30 responses to date. Of course, they will claim some excuse and blame the victim. But, it is clear they were trying to prod for listings for Internships which they charge almost $100.00 for to post. It would seem they would seek grants to support their own service or just become a business like other recruitment sites.
