0/10 Worst Hotel Stay Ever, Staff, Valet and Customer Service is Horrible
We had a very disappointing stay at the Beverly Hills Wilshire. My wife and I decided to take a road trip to have some fun before her surgery for cancer. We stopped here along the way and decided to indulge a little and we bought the Penthouse suite. This room was not cheap and the reason we got this room was because we wanted to live it up on this trip. We originally ordered the "Hollywood Suite" but the next dau we found a discounted rate on their website and when I called and asked to get that rate applied the first person I spoke with said they could not accommodate that request. I asked to be transferred to a manager and when that person got on you could tell they were frustrated by this request. They said they could only cancel the room and that we would have to rebook it. I asked if they coukd just handle the entire process as they would see the room as available before we would online. He said he had canceled our room and hung up on me! I have worked in hotels in the past and being a higher end hotel this was un acceptable. I called back and after a bunch of back and forth we decided to upgrade to the nicer room anyway. That night wordered drinks and food from the restaurant all night accumulating a pretty large bill along the way. Everything went pretty well throughout the night, I will say the drinks are very high priced but we were enjoying ourselves befoe her surgery. The major issue besides the room debacle happened the next morning when retrieving our vehicle from the valet. I was waiting while the valet went to get my car amd I heard him bring it up the ramp and I heard him scratch my lip on the front bumper. I immediately brought it to the valets attention but he denied scratching the car. I looked beneath and could clearly see the damage. I had just purchased that part a week prior to this sonit was brand new and had no scratches prior to bringing it in. Since the valet was so busy I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff. They told me they had contacted the valet manager and that I would hear from him soon. 2 days past and I did not hear anything. I had to call the hotel to get the valet manager to call me. Once we got in contact he said he would review the footage and get back to me. A few days past and again I reached out to see where we were in the process. Luis called and said he reviewed the footage and that he saw when the damage happened. With this I thought everything was going to be handled properly and I would get reimbursed for the damages. A week went by and nothing. I again reached out and finally the claims team responded. After a week they said they had reviewed the footage and were not able to see anything that showed the valet causing the damage and they would not be paying me out. I am beyond frustrated! This is supposed to be a high end hotel and I spent well over $1400 im one night and then when they damaged my car they don't even take responsibility and fix the damages caused by their valet. The hotel didn't comp our room or food. The only thing I can do is promise they will never see a dollar of our money ever again! We travel often and this left the worst taste in our mouths.
