Hoppitylearning provided a great learning experience for both parents and children. I had a good relationship building experience with my children. I strongly recommend this for families who inherited foreign traditional parenting methods, got lost in the culture shock in the States, and are looking for ways to understand, communicate, and fill the gaps.

I am a parent whose children already receive SEL classes at school. I also attend conferences, webinars and watch videos on parenting, child development, etc. As a result, when I first heard of Hoppity through a webinar, I was a bit skeptical at first that they may be able to teach me anything new. After seeing a trial offer, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to try it out, and I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the results. I realized that it is one thing to read an article/book or listen to a presentation/lecture about SEL, and it's a completely different experience to actually practice it with customized and personal guidance. It was also incredibly effective to have my son learn from another loving and caring adult, other than his parents, on ways to identify and share his feelings. In addition, Hoppity coaches were paramount to helping us build that pathway for him to be able to come to us with his feelings and thoughts. So many times before, prior to these coaching sessions, when I asked him about his day at school, how he was doing or feeling, he would just shrug and say "Good." or "I dunno." However, there was nothing deeper or personal beyond that short superficial response. Even with all the book knowledge that I had acquired from other resources, it didn't help that much when my child was unable/unwilling to express/share how he truly felt or what was on his mind. We are only 5 weeks into these sessions so far, but we're amazed at the results already. We do our "homework" weekly and it's been great to put everything in practice. I feel more empowered after every session to be on my way to be an effective SEL coach for my child, especially with an anticipated transition to a new school. Our relationship has been really great and I've also become more patient with him.

We have seen gradual improvement in our relationship. We have been joining the course past 6 months. My wife and I were wondering why our daughter was constantly throwing tantrums toward us and refusing any interaction with me, but after reading out the affirmation list she seemed to dissolve a little. At night before bed our daughter told my wife that she loves being praised. Later I found out I did't give her enough affirmation after she has done something right, especially when I use high pitch when she did wrong and compare with normal voice when she did great. After the session I praised her a lot more with a louder voice and she seems pretty calm ever since. Thank you Miss Candy for the lesson of affirmation. Hoppity Learning also opens for feedback on every session, and willing to accommodate our ever changing schedule. Thank you for your help.

Our journey with Hoppity Learning has exceeded our expectations - over the course of the past five months, Ms. Jean worked with our family to explore specific growth areas that we felt are meaningful for us and our six year old. We started with a unit on Feelings, then progressed into Recognizing Strengths and Needs, Having a Growth Mindset, Assertiveness, and now we are on Setting Goals and Plans. These are fundamentals we feel everyone needs to master and saw a great need to make sure our child has a structured, safe, and fun way of learning and applying these concepts. Ms. Jean engaged and consulted us, gave us regular feedback, and most of all encouraged as a family. We appreciate Ms. Jean for listening to our needs, providing insightful and customized courses, and making the experience so positive. Thank you for giving us your best!

I joined a 7-week group session with other families. It was informational and helpful. Ms. Mon was professional and experienced at Play Therapy. In the group session, she talked about the benefits and practical tips of special playtime with the kids. She also shared her personal experiences. I understand my kids' thoughts and feeling more through practicing the communication skills Ms. Mon shared. The kids are happy to have the kid-centered special playtime. Now I know what real playtime means. Listening to how other families in the group practiced the "homework" and their challenges each week is one of the benefits of joining a group session, though I wish the group member sharing and discussion time could be longer. Hoppitylearning also offers private sessions. I didn't take them yet but I think it is a very good idea.

I found the class very helpful. I discovered from the class that most parents are dealing with similar issues with their children, and so my issues are not unique. and it helped a lot to learn in class how a child grows and matures in his/her capabilities over the years, and thus helps me to set up correct expectations. More importantly, the class offered practical tips in how to be a teacher of my kid, how to deal with the issues and how to improve my communications/relationships with my kid. Thumbs up!

With the Covid in much of 2020, our kids were basically learning remotely from home on ipads. Friendships and social interactions went to the minimum and essentially replacing with electronic entertainments. Purple tier in our county put extra strain onto our family when the stay at home order is in effect. With much prayers, we came across HoppityLearning. Through the sessions, I as a parent learned the most. How critical it is to be attentive and listening to the kids’ expressions, Forcing what we think being the best might not be the most effective way of raising a stand up kid. I’m really grateful for the many interactive sessions. Highly recommended if one were to seek helps on issues with young kids.

I would recommend Hoppity Learning to anyone who want to improve parent-child relationship. Very helpful guidances, both for the child and the parents. Coach was able to quickly identify problems, which may be on the child's side or parents side, or both, quickly and provided useful suggestions for us to try. "Homeworks" for both the child and the parents were evaluated the next lesson and improvements or alternative suggestions were provided. We were able to resolve some habbits/issues between us and our child. Of course, things are not perfect and continuous efforts are always required to improve our parent-child relationships. After all, it is important to realize love, both expressed and received, is the most important thing between parents and the child, and it is the one thing that keep us going.
