Hexa Book MarketingReviews of hexabookmarketing.com

Contracted with Hexa Book Marketing in January 2026 for marketing services to promote my book. To date Hexa has been paid $30,000 by me for various services. Not a single service was delivered as originally identified. This includes Hexa setting up social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, but failing to do so on X and You Tube as contracted. Paid $4,700 for a website and hosting but Hexa ignores my request for access to those platforms to allow me to develop fan base, which was the original intent of the social media platforms. Paid Hexa $2,500 to obtain a trademark on my behalf, but more than 2 months later Hexa refuses to provide copies of documents submitted. At this time I can only conclude Hexa never filed for the Trademark. Also paid $6,750 to attend a book fair but had to cancel due to a family emergency. Although I was expressly told I could cancel, Hexa has refused to refund the money. They offered to give me additional services in exchange. The problem is that I recently received sales reports for my book only to discover it had ZERO sales. After 7 months of a very expensive marketing campaign the fact that THERE WERE NO SALES makes Hexa marketing services have no value, whereby I insist on the full refund of the $6,750. The services offered in exchange do not offer anything near comparable value and is unacceptable. This is a fraudulent company seeking to swindle optimistic people with high pressure sales tactics, over-priced services, and never delivering on the services they have been hired to provide. There is always an excuse and an alternative that ultimately costs the customer even more money. Finally, after settling my claim for a refund B at Hexa agreed to pay my refund at $1,000 per month on the first of every month. It should come as no surprise that these liars have failed to pay me a dime. They have no credibility. Be smart and avoid these scammers at all cost. This needs to stop. Do not do business with Hexa or any of its affiliates. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and the FBI IC3.

They don't even deserve ONE star. Before signing communication was excellent. After I signed the contract the communication after the first call deteriorated and I have nothing to show for the thousands of dollars spent. No report, no follow up, responses stopped.

Before I was threatened by Hexa Marketing and Anderson Publishing's lawyers via email for putting up fewer than five stars, I think I might have given this company two stars, or maybe been talked up to three. Their services are fairly average for the field of book marketing, but their prices are somewhat higher than average. Add in the extreme "hard sell" philosophy drummed into all their employees (based on my communications with three of them over an extended period of time), as well as their extreme willingness to deploy threats from lawyers at the drop of a hat, and two to three stars seems adequate. And it would be, if that was where the issues ended. My only reason for writing this review now is to warn people away from any business dealings with this company, as that "hard sell" mentality seems to slip into all their dealings, including a refusal to stop even when told to do so. After I saw the extent that the company relies on generative AI content to create...well, everything, honestly, I decided to invoke my contractual right to get a full refund and end our association, since I was not satisfied with the services being provided - I had even given them original art that I'd commissioned specifically for use in their campaign, and it was completely ignored in favor of AI-generated slop. That said, my request to end our relations was completely ignored, and Hexa Marketing went right ahead with pumping out more mass-produced, unedited, unchecked AI-generated products, all of which I did not want, did not ask for, and absolutely do not like or want associated with my book. Now I have to work through my credit card company to get my money back, since Hexa Marketing itself is not sufficiently ethical to end our relationship amicably. If they had, I think I would not be writing this review, being willing to just let the whole matter drop as a bad business best forgotten. Right after I started working through my credit card company, I got another shock: the unfortunate agent who'd been in charge of my account called just earlier tonight (hence the date on this review), apparently in tears because he was being fired over the whole debacle. He was the one who had specifically refused to provide me with a refund, but I don't hold any malice toward him, nor do I really blame him: his name might have been on that email, but he wasn't the only Hexa employee who gave me the runaround in trying to get my money back, so I think it more likely that the organization itself has a flawed business philosophy rather than this being the result of just one misguided person. He just ended up as the scapegoat, poor thing. That he called me in the first place, though, desperate to try and talk me back into the clutches of Hexa Marketing, using a heavily emotional appeal after I'd made it clear that I wanted nothing further to do with the company, and while he was still apparently an employee, and told me he was calling specifically because his supervisors had given him another chance to try and get me back, says everything you need to know about Hexa Marketing: they are desperate for money, not to serve their customers, and will go to any lengths within the bounds of the law, and even beyond it if they can get away with it, to snag you. Yes you, personally. As a final note, you should check the blacklist at Writer's Weekly's website (no link because that's not allowed by the rules here) - Anderson Publishing has a great many subsidiaries and side companies, Hexa Marketing among them. And as many of them as I can locate are found on that blacklist. The sheer number of these offshoots strikes me as distinctly shady in itself, even if my personal sad experiences were insufficient evidence that perhaps you might be best off giving this company a pass.

Paul has been making sure the work has been done in a timely manner. He wants to make sure the customer is happy with the work being done.

The salesman, who will remain unnamed, lost his company's account with me before it even started. he was rude and pushy. His performance was antithetical to all that is good when salespeople understand the client and then serve their needs as a way of gaining a loyal customer. There are many words that can describe his performance, but I'll simply end this with "pathetic." I had a text conversation with the owner. I feel bad for them. They asked me to remove this review, and I don't think I should. I think Trustpilot, like all the sites similar to it, are there to modify the behaviors of the corporate world based on customer experience, and the primary reason the mission of Trustpilot is successful is reviews just like this. They hired the guy, I didn't and maybe they'll do something about it. I have already talked to the owners in specific detail. They know exactly what happened and this review will help them remember our verbal conversation thank you.

In every aspect, Hexa Book Marketing surpassed my expectations. They have excellent marketing methods. They enabled me to establish a solid author platform and establish a more meaningful connection with my audience. I am really appreciative of their help and knowledge.
