We have had our mortgage with them for 7 years. We have made EVERY payment on time with the exception of last month through human error by putting funds in the wrong account. This caused us to go 34 days late. When the error was discovered because our credit score dropped 80 points we contacted them about it and made the past and current payment. They refuse to provide a goodwill gesture to not report the month. Terrible policy to punish long time customers over 1 mistake. We will not be using them for any further lending services after this. Seek other lending options that focus on costumer service and relationships.

Heartland switched their credit card to a different company or platform and I was not notified. I kept calling the old phone number and was advised that I did not have an account. I called over the course of a month and was never given a new phone number to call by the reps that answered. I requested a supervisor and got the new number to call. I had previously paid my entire balance with heartland but was now told I had a late charge and a $30 balance. I asked to pay over the phone and was told I could not since I didnt have a heartland checking account. How can we keep our account current without a way to pay??? Absolutely ridiculous that a payment cannot be made over the phone. No one had an address to give me to send a payment to either. Do better Heartland. This is absolutely a nightmare.

My husband and I do not like the new automate. We like to call and get all of our check. Check them out and and our totals but now we can't get on there and get hung up on.

Generally good service, rates are competitive. Staff is nice and helpful. Service is rather slow though. Stupid extra fee if you bounce a check by accident, on top of the NSF fee. Seems like it should be illegal.
