Lack of communication
Purchased an Expresso upright training bike. Price was good and the salesperson seemed knowledgable including offering a $499 extended warranty for the software of the trainer. I did not buy the extended warranty. I was advised that a modem, for an extra cost of $275, was needed and I purchased the modem as a result. Once we received the modem by mail a few weeks after the bike was delivered and set it up we realized that internet functionality is not free with Expresso, as it is with Garmin and other apps, and the $499 fee for three years was to connect to the Expresso site to log your ride data etc I am impressed with the Expresso and glad I bought it. I would not have bought the modem if the additional charge to use the Expresso site was explained clearly. .
