Predatory school. They claim they are prepared to take on students they are not. Their facility is not updated sim lab. Their clinical sites are at Modesto while their campus is concord imagine having to commute the opposite way. Do not go save your money and go somewhere else. Bullshit ass school

My time at Gurnick Academy (Concord…
My time at Gurnick Academy (Concord campus) was one of the worst experiences of my life. I enrolled in their Nuclear Medicine program after being promised academic support, professional instruction, and a strong path toward employment. What I got was emotional stress, academic neglect, and a massive financial burden.
They never clearly explained that the school is only nationally accredited (ABHES), which means most regionally accredited schools will not accept your credits. I found this out only after I was dismissed from the program and tried to transfer. Every school I contacted rejected my credits. That information was conveniently left out during admissions.
The academic environment was toxic. When I asked for help, I was ignored or treated like a problem. When I tried to advocate for myself, I faced retaliation. Some staff acted unprofessionally and even displayed racial bias — issues that were completely brushed off when reported. Classmates were allowed to bully others with zero consequences. The clinical instructor in particular made things worse — passive-aggressive, unhelpful, and completely unsupportive.
Now I’m stuck with federal loan debt, no degree, no transferable credits, and nothing to show for the time and effort I gave to this program. This school does not care about its students. They care about collecting tuition, pushing people through or out, and protecting their image.
If you’re considering this school don’t. I would give zero stars if I could.

I’ve been working at my current job for…
I’ve been working at my current job for 14 years since I was 18, and never got the chance to live my dream of becoming a nurse. I don’t know anything about college and what to do or even how to study, but Gurnick academy is by far one of the best private school ever, they help you with everything. If you utilize all of their assistance, I promise you, you will make it and it would be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself. They even have a life coach, that’s how helpful they are. My instructors and the staffs are amazing. I actually love everyone of them. They prep you for the Nclex and you have to take an exit exam at the end. Mind you I did not study for 8 months after I graduated and I still pass the Nclex. That’s how good the school is. My muscle memory kicked right in when I had to take the Nclex that’s how good and intense the school is. The test is free if you pass the school’s exit exam and attend the PASS program. Tu Nguyen and Melissa Parker are your guardian angels. They will help you if you really want to make it. I went to the Modesto, CA campus. Good luck on your Nursing journey my friends. 🥳
