Groundworks owns Ohio Basement…
Groundworks owns Ohio Basement Authority which took advantage of my elderly parents. DONT TRUST ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. I helped decide to use them and the A+ rating on BB (look up for Virginia Groundworks the parent company and Ohio Basement Authority Ohio) is a farce. Don't take my word for it. READ THE REVIEWS AND DONT LOOK AT THE RATING. Sooo many problems and they are all similar. My parents paid approx. 25,000 to have their house stabilized...six months later it sunk again and they have refused to communicate. After a visit last November we were told that the Twinsburg office would schedule a visit which they did. They saw the problem and said Aaron will schedule it. He never communicated with us. Then in the spring another guy came out for the "annual inspection" and said the same thing. We waited and nothing. Then in September my elderly mother, in her eighties, was so upset she called and again nothing. We have now hired an attorney as the issue is the same across the board....there was no structural engineer. ASK FOR THE DEGREE OF THE PERSON VISITING YOU OR GOOGLE THEM....THEY DONT USE ENGINEERS OR EVEN COLLEGE GRADUATES. I digress. The bottom line, don't believe a word from any of the people and make sure to verify, if you are having structural issues, that they have the degree specializing in structural engineering. NONE OF THE PEOPLE WE DEALT WITH HAD A DEGREE IN ENGINEERING>>>>FOUND ONE WHO HAD A DEGREE IN DRAMA. So when they came out to the house to ascertain what needed to be done, they made up things based on their sales training. That is all those people are. The parent company is Groundworks and they have many lawsuits against them. Google lawsuits and you will find the many fake reviews they keep making so that people see the number and presume, in my case correctly, that we wouldn't read the reviews and counted on the amalgamated numbers. READ THE REVIEWS WITH A CRITICAL EYE. I CANNOT SAY HOW BAD THEY HAVE MESSED UP MY PARENTS HOME AND WILL NOT COMMUNICATE EVEN WHEN THE CONTRACT WAS SUPPOSED TO GUARANTEE THE WORK. Also, ASK THE WORKERS WHERE THEY WERE HIRED FROM AND THEIR BACKGROUNDS> FOR THE CEMENT WORK WE HAD A BUNCH OF DAY LABORERS BEING TOLD HOW TO LAY THE CONCRETE WHICH HAS SINCE COLLAPSED IN PLACES< CRACKED IN OTHERS AND HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE DESTABILIZATION OF THE HOME. They likely have more workers creating fake reviews and trying to cover up poor reviews than they have qualified workers. Again, Ask EACH person who comes to your property what their credentials are and then follow it up with a google search. These are scam artists that have very few positive reviews which when you do find them sound like they are from the employees.
