GoodSam lies about their service
We were traveling to see my mother-in-law, who had just entered hospice care. We had to travel from Pocatello, Idaho, to Longview, Washington. We broke down on I-84 in Idaho, between Mountain Home and Hammett, at mile marker 108. When we purchased the roadside service, we were told we would be towed to the garage of our choice. The AI assistant was worthless, so for that reason alone, I would not renew the service. When we were finally able to speak with a live person, the experience was not much better. You really cannot give a more precise location than westbound I-84 at mile marker 108. The agent could not “find us.” We gave her our GPS coordinates, but she still could not “find us.” Finally, after we gave her the same coordinates about 10 times, she found us. We told her we needed to be towed to the GMC dealer in Boise because it was the only shop open. She came back and said it was 70 miles away and that I would have to pay $400. I had the dealer pick us up for $400, so having Good Sam was worthless. I would never trust them; they misrepresent their service until you actually need it.
