I would never recommend a Glowforge laser. The company is aware of hardware issues, as well as awful customer service. Instead of working on this, they choose to spend all of their money on advertising their lasers. The price recently went up, and it doesn't compare to any of the other lasers in the same price range. There's an issue with the wiring, and the new lasers that they sell still have this issue. When the customer complains that the new laser isn't working, the company sends them a refurbished one. Our expensive laser barely lasted the warranty period. Their answer to all issues is that you either purchase an extended warranty from them, or pay another 1500-1700 for a refurbished laser. That one only has a few month warranty, too. Beware!

The Glowforge Basic is an awful machine. I've experienced issue after issue with it. I'm constantly taking it apart and putting it back together with all of its problems. The machine itself is built with poor materials, the lid came off its hinges after a couple of months, etc. It also gives error messages that have nothing to do deal with the real issue. I will never buy another product associated with this company. I'm disgusted I spent the money on the printer and on the filter. DO NOT BUY!

My Glowforge Aura ended up in the dumpster after the first one was dead out of the box, the second one would lose its calibration during every project costing me a lot of money on their "proofgrade" $20.00 boards. The thing would mis-cut, it hardly ever cut though the material completely, and it had so many random errors that caused the machine to just stop during the middle of the project. Glowforge won't give you refunds, just replacements. Mine ended up in the bottom of a dumpster as this was a very expensive lesson learned. I will never ever ever purchase a single product with the Glowforge name on it again. I honestly see ton's of lawsuits in their future.

Rubbish machine. It’s really old technology, ridiculously slow and crazy loud. It’s the same old machine they have been shipping for years, no upgrades, it’s not more powerful, or faster. Would you buy a phone with 5+ year old specs, not likely!!! It’s painfully slow, as it’s so underpowered, with old parts and tech. It’s so loud you cant hear yourself think, its dreadful. God help you if you have a problem, the wont help you properly and with charge you thousands for some rubbish used replacement.

now on my 9th replacement machine, these are really dreadfull, customoer service is no existent, buy new and within 3 weeks it breaks, so you have to send to the USA to get it fixed, a couple more weeks, another fix, etc, etc, why they pulled all support out of the UK i dont know, but really wasted my money and time with this nightmare

This is the worst company I've EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. Trying to get a decent response when the oversized paperweight stops working and you want to DIY repair is pure impossible. Do NOT buy it! The ones responding to mails aren't allowed to provide any kind of information. I mean who in their right mind would pay for a Refurbished model at the nasty price of about 2500$ +the cost of transport, and pay for the "defunct" model to be sent back to them so they can fix it and sell it again ?? The device have some sort of sensor malfunction, and reports the device is too hot. When asking them where the sensor is or what type it is, they won't answer... I sometimes suspect it to be a software line of code with wrong tolerance.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! After the fan blade breaking while doing a routine cleaning following specific instructions on Glowforge website. I got sent a refurbished machine as a result and the refurbished machine LEAKS SMOKE because the lid and front door are not flush with the machine like they are supposed to be! I. AM. SO. MAD.

This is the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with. You spend almost 9k and get treated like garbage. I ordered the pro printer with an air filter. 3 days later I went to email my sales person and the email bounced. Still unsure if he blocked me or if what they’re saying that he doesn’t work there anymore is the truth. I have inquired about my air filter 4 times every time I have got a different answer. Today I found out they are out of stock with no ETA on when they will be back in stock, however the website says they ship in 3-5 days. They claim they are missing the cartridge to go inside. So essentially I was sold a product that they knew was unavailable but didn’t advise me about before purchasing. I have a business to operate and fishing my hose out the window is not an option for me anymore as I’m pregnant and the fumes were coming through the window too much. They have the worst customer service support and technical support, you can only email they will not get you on a live call with someone. They are liars beware before you order!! I would return but the fees are astronomical.
