unreliable poor communication with delivery. Questioning there legitimacies

Unique product, easy navigation of website, excellent shipping and return policy. All was well until a very deceiving request was made by seller. A promise (offer) to refund/ reward 50% of purchase if I left a review. Once a positive review was made, a confirmation message was sent by Julia that “as promised, a 50% money back” would be honoured. Turns out it was not true. Julia messaged back saying that this would be applied to future purchases. Nothing to this level was specified, even in the least way in the initial message. I politely informed them that they should clarify these specifics and not mislead anyone in this way. She responded in a lengthy message apologizing for the “misunderstanding”.
