This was such a unique experience that allowed me to learn more about conservation and the importance of mindfulness about the land that we live on. I was able to learn more about the Snoqualmie tribe while responsibly working and recreating in their landscape. The people I’ve met are so special and as passionate as I am! The volunteer work and experiences that we accomplished in such a small period of time was truly inspiring and got me thinking about a career in conservation and sustainability.

Traveling to Southeast Asia with GIVE was a very positive and impactful experience! I was blown away by the hospitality and love the locals showed us immediately upon arrival! I’m grateful for the chance to learn from the locals and support and empower their communities. The guides were clearly passionate about this program and very organized. They taught us about global citizenship and sustainable travel, which are things I’ll continue to practice in the future. There was a good balance between volunteering time (English education and permaculture), adventure activities, and free time. This trip was a great way to connect with like-minded people! I can’t possibly sum up the most wonderful 4 weeks of my life into one review, but I strongly encourage anyone who is hesitant about traveling with GIVE to take the leap of faith… you’ll be so glad you did! I just left Southeast Asia, and I already can’t wait to go back!

This was genuinely one of the best things i’ve ever done. I met so many amazing people is such a short amount of time. The whole trip was so inspiring and rewarding. I learned so much in such a short amount of time. I would go back in a heartbeat <3

The PNW trip is awesome! I think it’s a fairly new location so there were some hiccups but it was so great. Carly Jo and Mike were so fun and inspiring and curated a great group and great time. They taught us very valuable lessons that will always stick with me!

Volunteering with the local guides and going on amazing excursions made this trip so unforgettable. Made so many memories and met so many awesome people! it’s a must do if you can find the time and money for it!!

Being immersed in the culture made my experience so memorable! I enjoyed being a part of an organization that works to help communities in anyway that they need help in! It was incredible having guided who were so knowledgeable on Zanzíbar and cared for every volunteer on the trip!

To start off I wanna say that this trip was an experience that cannot be compared to anything I have ever done. It may sound redundant in these reviews but my trip to Kairo, Stone Town, and the mainland of Tanzania was the best two weeks of my life. I was welcomed with such overwhelming hospitality and kindness by all the locals and guides as well as all the other volunteers that went on the journey with me. All the accommodations provided were so safe and fully taken care of by my extraordinary guides, Sophie, Khamius, and Faith. At the hostels and hotels we stated in there was security which made me feel so secure and also clean rooms and bathrooms. Taking a chance on the trip is something that was hard for me at first especially traveling solo for the first time but it was the greatest decision I have made by far. I learned so much about tanzanian culture, muslim religion, the digital divide, how to vote using my dollar, ecotourism, and so much about myself and how I want to grow following the trip. Not only did we create miraculous change in Kairo but we had so much fun doing it too! So many important life lessons are implemented into the program that push you to be the best version of yourself alongside your new best friends and newly made family. The culture day, adventure day, and safari trip was so unimaginably fun and well planned out too. Therefore, I seriously recommend going on a GIVE trip, especially the one in Tanzania if you want to feel whole-hearted love and growth in your life.

The company was able to effectively provide an efficient and culturally considerate introduction for volunteers to provide their services to and learn from, which enable together opportunity for empowerment that is usually reduced to a pyrrhic siphoning.
