Callro is a privacy-first spam call blocker for Android, built by Vindication Inc. after we got tired of the same scam and telemarketer calls hitting our own families — the fake IRS threats, the extended warranty offers, the calls pretending to be Social Security.Every call from an unrecognized number is screened before your phone rings, using our 26-Layer Gauntlet Engine — a rules-based screening pipeline built on Android's native Call Screening system. It checks STIR/SHAKEN carrier verification to catch spoofed caller ID, watches for neighbor-spoofing patterns that copy your own area code, and matches incoming numbers against known scam databases from the FTC and FCC, all in real time before the call ever connects.Callro only requests one Android permission: Call Screening. We never ask for your contacts, and we never request access to your call history or messages. Contacts, call logs, and audio never leave the device. Anyone already in your contacts, or anyone you've called recently, always rings through — no exceptions. For situations where you want tighter control, Fortress Mode lets only your saved contacts through and silences everything else. There's one plan: $9.99/month, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card required to start. No tiers, no upsells, no ads. Cancel anytime directly through Google Play. And when you actually need help, a real person answers — not a chatbot. We built Callro because free call blockers make their money selling your data to ad networks; we'd rather charge a fair price and do right by the people who trust us.
