Not a real company
On Thursday, July 9, 2026, I called Gate Repair Pro at 888-521-0364. Based on the their website I thought that the company was actually in Lady Lake, FL. I wanted a diagnosis of my garage door making loud noise while being operated. An appointment was arranged for that afternoon. The technician from SB Master Garage Redwood arrived as promised and said that the source of the noise was both the garage door rollers and the electric motor. Unsure that the motor was at fault, I declined replacement of the motor. The technician said that he would replace the rollers. Lubrication was extra. I was charged a total of $369.80 which is double what others charge. Afterward, in researching the cost and installation of replacing garage door rollers, I found that the cost should be between $100 and $200 and include lubrication. The rollers replaced are not the correct size. The technician installed rollers with a seven inch stem and should have been rollers with a four inch stem. The technician bypassed the proper method of replacing the 10 old rollers. The proper procedure is to remove the screws that secure each roller to the door. Instead the technician pried open the tracks that the rollers run on and forcibly removed the old four inch rollers and inserted new rollers with a seven inch stem. In this process the tracks are permanently damaged and need to be replaced. This a crude, non-standard method of garage door roller replacement and extremely unprofessional. The outside finish of the garage door is marred with greasy finger prints as well as the hurricane bracing on the inside of the door. The lubrication was sprayed haphazardly without regard to targeting the actual moving parts. The excess lubricant was left dripping down the door and on the garage floor. Despite telephone calls of complaint, I have been unable to have the company take corrective action to resolve the issue.
