Garner Health is a technology company on a mission to transform the healthcare economy and deliver high-quality and affordable care for all. Our goal is to change how our healthcare system works at its core. Using a new approach to data science and novel financial incentives, we help patients identify the highest-quality doctors and help doctors improve how they practice medicine. We seek to change the economics of healthcare so that providers thrive by practicing the best medicine, not by performing more invasive procedures.Garner uses one of the nation's most robust medical datasets, covering over 60 billion medical records from 320 million patients, and over 550 proprietary clinical metrics to identify the best doctors in the nation. Garner then creates meaningful financial incentives for patients to see these providers. When members use Garner to find a Top Provider, Garner can reimburse their out-of-pocket costs, including copays, office visits, medical tests, and surgeries. With Garner Assistant, members can find Top Providers who are in-network, available, and nearby, understand their benefits, and book appointments, with a dedicated concierge team available along the way.Today, more than 800 employers trust Garner to help over 2.5 million people get better care. Employers see 12% lower plan costs on average, employees pay 80% less out-of-pocket to see the best doctors, and Garner has saved employers over $1 billion to date.

Limited choice of participating providers.
Unsure if still a good T.
Don't always get reliable answers from agents and then things become unexpected expenses on certain items.

Overall it’s nice, but I don't like that I have to see one of their approved doctors! Just because they approve them doesn’t mean they are good, I should be able to use the money on any medical expenses.

Takes too long to process claims after carrier has processed.

Although I did end up having a lot of expenses reimbursed through Garner, I found myself having to continuously dispute claims that were originally deemed not covered when they should’ve been. Ultimately garner did follow through and reimburse however the process of appealing most claims was time consuming and unnecessary

Good concept, but very limited choices of physicians that are covered in the program. My family see many specialists but more than half of these specialists are not covered. Also, I cannot choose a practice, have to choose a specific doctor. Even if the doctor is covered, when I go to see my doctor but end up seeing his NP or PA, it's not covered. Here are some real numbers to illustrate the point: YTD my family has spent more than $7000 out of pocket (after insurance paid their portion), and we got less than $300 back with the Garner program.
