If there was less than one star, that would be my rating. I don't like being harassed by a company just because somebody requested a kind word from me. I'm retired and I've tried to UNSUSUBSCRIBE SEVERAL TIMES BUT STILL GET UNWANTED MESSAGES DAILY. Now I have to go through and delete every part of a profile that I didn't want, don't need and am pissed to be harassed by.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Gainrep is a scam. You may see an email from a friend or acquaintance with an invitation to join, but once you click the link, the platform siphons all your email contacts and sends emails to everyone automatically. It’s a plague of a website.

Hello, Gainrep is a platform designed to simplify the process of obtaining professional endorsements. Our users can request endorsements from their contacts, including via email. However, simply signing up does not automatically trigger any endorsement requests. To send requests, users must take several deliberate steps: provide explicit consent, check the box labeled “I confirm and authorize Gainrep to send invitations to my contacts on my behalf,” and then click the appropriate button to proceed. If you haven’t completed these steps and still noticed invitations being sent, please let us know so we can investigate further. If you’ve accidentally invited your contacts, you can stop any future invitations by visiting the My Network page. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Gainrep is a total scam. Dont sign up they will hack all your contacts! They also seem to have fake reviews on Trustpilot - just check out how many of the 5* reviews have only 1 or 2 reviews ever done!! Be careful

Absolute scam. Don't connect your google account, they will invite all your contacts without your knowledge. Edit: they're defending default ON for opt-in settings that are obfuscated and not recognizing it as a scummy tactic. No wonder every google search about them tells the truth.

Not clear where to leave the recommendation
Response from GainrepOct 8, 2025
Hello, Thanks for the feedback — it helps us grow and improve the platform. Sorry for the confusion. You can leave a recommendation on any user’s profile page by clicking the Recommend button, or from the Reputation page under the My Network tab on the main menu. Please note that recommendations can only be left for people who are already your connections. Please email us at the address shown at the top of the page and we will provide further assistance.

Je n'ai pas besoin de ce service et il semble très compliqué de mettre "à la poubelle" ; manque de transparence (pour les non initiés)
