I’d give them half a star if I could. I signed up for the free trial. I was on their site for 20 mins max and realized it wasn’t what I was looking for. Not enough of the content I was interested in. Nothing against what they had just not for me. So I cancelled right after and got a cancellation email from them. Two weeks ago I got charged for the month. I sent them two emails and a notice through their website. I even emailed them through PayPal to return my money and make sure they don’t charge me again. This POS of a company hasn’t even bother to acknowledge apologize or even pretend to look into it for the sake of appearance. I don’t like being taken advantage of especially when I did everything correctly to avoid taking advantage of them or their service that I thought could have been a good fit. I have an obscene finger for them and their stunts.

I am giving this company as low of a rating as possible for several reasons. The app on my apple TV is hard to navigate especially since I only watch one show and have to go through several steps to find it. Another recurring issue causes me to start watching an episode at the start of the NEXT season. Talk about spoilers! There's also an issue with One Piece. the subtitles simply do not work, despite tinkering with the settings dozens of times. Add to that they haven't responded to my ticket for almost three weeks! I've read other reviews on here saying it took them a year to get a response. This is simply one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, and I really mean that. Goodbye, Funimation. It was not fun knowing you.

App stutters and reduces video quality noticeably more aggressively than higher quality applications such as Netflix. App frequently loops episodes and often refuse to advance to the next episode without a restart. Remarkable given that “repeat” is not a function available on their app. the apps insistence on resuming progress in a previously watched episode make rewatching a total nuisance. Dubs take too long to air and feature the same four or five male and female VAs.

Funimation is the worst streaming service I have ever had the displeasure of using. Their videos don't work half the time, the website is slow and clunky, and in my opinion they charge too much money for a very limited selection of good animes that half the time you good just watch on a better streaming service. Their website feels like it's from the early 2000s with how poorly it works. It's a shame that they monopolize so many good animes that better sites could take on where I could actually enjoy watching them. Funimation actually ruins watching animes because of how much headache I have to go through to actually watch the show.

Funimation customer service is a joke. I've been trying to get assistance with my Dragonball Super: Broly code for the last two weeks and they've done nothing. This is the reason privacy is alive and well.

Took almost a full year (no cap as the kids say) to receive any word over a purchase that I placed for an order on the DBZ 30th Blu-ray Box Set that was limited to 3000 units. Long story short, an order was submitted and never confirmed through my bank account. Submitted multiple tickets, had one of them raised and then they had the audacity to ask for payment within less than 2 weeks after waiting for more than a full pregnancy. Maybe not the best representation of time but the point is I could have given birth before someone gave me assistance. Either way, pay day wasn’t feasible at the time due to such a short notice and lost out because of their lack of CS. Again, it’s not that it’s bad in as much as it does not exist! Really hope they go bankrupt (and the rest of Western anime corporations for that matter) because I’ve yet to see a proper corporation take responsibility or treat their customers proper. Looking at you too RightStuff Anime! Either way, you’ve got a better chance ordering from a third party or going to an open market for their goods. The fact this page is unclaimed provides some truth to the matter that they could care less. TL;DR Funimation doesn’t care about you but would love to meet your wallet!

We aren’t even done with the free trail and it hasn’t worked quite a few times. It’s awesome when it does work. When you pay a company for something you expect it to work. Obviously issues will happen here and there but this is ridiculous. We will not be continuing after the free trial.
