Froedtert Milwaukee is an evil place!
I would give negative infinity stars if I could for Froedtert in Milwaukee. They give zero communication to the patients' loved ones. The only thing I got from them was that he was doing well. I had no idea what was really happening. I only got this info in medical records after my husband passed. He was not doing well at all. They didn't even give me this information when he was discharged. Two days after discharge, he had to be re-admitted closer to home as we live in Green Bay. They actually wanted me to drive him back down there in his condition. He was at this hospital for 5 days, under consult from Froedtert, where he continued to go downhill and passed away 5 days later. Beware, they ignore loved ones and rely on the patient, even when drugged up and exhausted, to give loved ones info. Rather than speaking to family members directly. I was his advocate, I was supposed to be told what was happening. I have spoken to many others who have said the same thing. If patients don't die there while an inpatient, they will eventually die. I had an independent autopsy done and am waiting for those results. Since there is a cap on malpractice payouts in Wisconsin, no attorney will take my case. All I can do is file complaints with Health and Human Services of Wisconsin and Medicare. I am so angry and feel so guilty because I should have fought for him harder. I put the date of experience on 9/9 because that's the day my husband passed. We experienced bad care from the very beginning in May.
