Freemote is the course where theory meets reality and confusion meets support. There are many coding tutorials, courses, bootcamps, and other sources of knowledge on the internet, but Freemote is the plan that takes you all the way to the destination. As someone who already had reasonable coding knowledge but no idea what to do with it, Freemote had given me invaluable direction and practice with soft skills. How to present yourself, how to talk to clients, and how to organize yourself around that process. Although I came to the program with too much programming knowledge to make full advantage of the support on offer, I've been consistently impressed by just how much support the course gives students and how willing the mentors are to give you feedback even (as in my case) on topics outside the core of the program. The course cuts to the bone to teach you what you really need to know to get started - no fluff, all jetpack to launch you! I found myself frequently returning to the content to make sure I could meet prospective clients' needs. And the course continues to be updated with up-to-date content and new perks and features. It's clear the Freemote team are passionate about the work they do and helping their students succeed to their utmost ability. If I had to pick an area where the course could improve, I guess I would wish for it to include even more content about how to talk to and win clients when you're starting out, but I'm not sure exactly what they could add, as I think it's mostly just something you need to experience to understand and improve. Freemote is miles above the competition, if you want to code for a living, this course is a no-brainer for any skill level.

I got a full time job as a Shopify developer. First I got an internship in this company then after 2 months they hired me. And I haven’t used everything that Freemote teaches. They really prepare you for the freelance career or a job career. They will help you at every step, you won’t stay in the dark. Plus, the community is really helpful. I have gotten back all the money I paid for this bootcamp.

I love how Freemote is organized. Since it's not a traditional bootcamp or university, there is no specific timeframe or pressure. You get the luxury of working at your own pace. It's not all easy (especially if your brand new to coding) I re-started the program 3 times. This time around I'm very focused and trying to absorb all the information. If someone is wanting to learn web development and is interested in being a successful freelancer, I would highly recommend this course! I cant wait to complete the program and land my first client!

Before Freemote, I was an aspiring developer that was taking dozens of online courses on how to become a Web Developer for almost 2 years. I learned a ton of specialized things about HTML, CSS & JS, but didn’t know the most basic thing about how to land an interview or get a client. Also, my web development knowledge was to broad and general, so I couldn’t stand out that much from other web developers. On my search for a solution to this, I came across Jan & Aaron on YouTube and discovered Freemote. Freemote allowed me to polish my HTML, CSS & JS skills by teaching me in the most understandable and practical way the skills I would use 95% of my time in my job. Then it introduced me to Shopify development, which is a highly paid skill in the ecommerce industry with a lot of demand from clients that are willing to hire fresh new developers as long as they demonstrate they can do the job right. Which takes me to the most important thing Freemote teaches: Marketing & communication for developers. 95% of developers don’t know a thing about how to communicate with clients and effectively showcase the great job they can do, so this skill gives you a HUGE advantage over other developers and lets you land jobs almost immediately after finishing the program. And moreover, the program gets updated frequently with new content and gives special opportunities to the best students of the program. If you want to make money on the internet as a developer, do not hesitate and take this program. Totally worth it.

I barely knew anything about coding before I started the program and I just completed the first project. That being said, the instruction is very clear and concise and feedback and support is top notch. The program makes me feel like I am making consistent progress and that if I make it through that I will be a successful freelancer. Would definitely recommend.

The teachers are excellent, they are experienced freelancers themselves, and give thorough and clear explanations of the materials being taught. They also show you the step-by-step process, with hands-on learning and solutions. The course is conducted in video series, guiding you systematically. You get video feedback from mentors for the projects completed in the course. If you get stuck, you could email the Freemote Team. You will be taught the skills to become a Shopify developer expert. I was able to get my first client on UpWork! I had applied everything they taught me and got Shopify freelance work successfully. I would recommend this course for anyone that want to get started on freelancing programming jobs.

Freemote is the best remote Bootcamp on the market. PERIOD. This program will help you reach your goals of becoming a developer or other tech-related role freelance or at a company. I absolutely loved working with the mentors who gave me personalized feedback on my projects and provided me with a great experience. In addition, I loved being a part of the Freemote Facebook group because of the sense of community and the ability to share, learn, and grow with others. In fact, I got my current job because of what I learned in Freemote!! The program is worth every penny and if you are considering doing a Bootcamp look no further. Freemote changed my life!
