Freemote ReviewsReviews of freemote.com

Great program! I joined the course recently, but I can already say I absolutely love it! I can feel that the Freemote team is very confident and has a lot of experience. I can feel more and more confidence in myself every day. It is much easier for me to apply web development concepts with the help of Freemote and it helps me to organize myself and build the correct work habits based on best practices. All my problems get resolved clearly and with thorough explanations. Comparing Freemote with other boot camps I previously took, I can tell that Freemote is definitely one of the most organized, well defined and structured ones. Great content, great team, great course. Highly recommend it to everyone! Oleksandr Kimbirskyi

So far so good. I am glad Freemote breaks up the instruction and especially the coding projects into small tasks with still a lot of "hand-holding" at this stage. I had virtually no coding experience before starting. I may, however, be an outlier as far as how long the boot camp actually takes even for a beginner. I am just starting the second project - the first one took me 55 hours to get through. Overall to get through the first 79 instructional segments (out of 411) it has taken me 155 hours since I started in OCT2021. They say I should follow my own pace, which I definitely am doing! I do a lot of note taking and generally trying to make sure I understand what I'm doing, not just hurrying to mark videos and projects completed. Still, I may be taking the go-at-my-own-pace approach too far. At this rate I estimate it will take me about 400 hours total to finish from the beginning of the boot camp thru week 4, which I believe is when you're supposed to be totally spun up to get your first freelancing jobs.

This course has saved me from the headache of trying to figure out how to properly apply all the web development concepts I've learned over the years. Aaron gives the most dense but concise explanations for important concepts that I’ve ever come across. And best of all, there’s a dedicated team of mentors that are available to coach you through whatever problems you may come across. This coupled with the online community of other students helping and learning from one another has to be the greatest asset from this program. It feels like there’s enough support to ensure that you don’t fall short, while at the same time presenting you with legitimately challenging assignments that you will learn from in relatively short period of time. I couldn’t endorse it enough!

So far this course has been INCREDIBLE! I have taken a TON of different online courses both fully available ones and drip-fed content courses and this one is definitely top-tier! I'm only in the 1st week of content, so I can't speak to where I personally will be in the future but I cannot see any reason why someone wouldn't be successful from taking this course even within just this first "week" of content. I say "week" because it may take some longer than a week to complete the videos and projects included due to time constraints and learning speeds. Also, the various avenues for feedback and support are integral to students' success! Keep up the good work!

I've found this to be a useful adjunct to learning everything on my own with, say, the Odin project, in the sense that there is personal feedback and an added emphasis on differentiating the stuff you really need to know right away vs. the fine print which can be learned later as long as you have a general idea of what's in there. Also, there's a huge leap between learning a bunch of code and actually going out to get projects, and Freemote will (I hope) will prove far more useful there. That double endorsement of both the DIY slow-and-thorough approach (i.e. the Odin project) and what Freemote is offering is admittedly a little schizoid, and somewhat goes against Freemote's ethos, but so far it works fine for me. Note that I haven't taken any other boot camps or gone through any other self-help courses for any length of time, so I can't compare Freemote to any other boot camps or programs.

speaking from my own experience, I've been enrolled in this program for two weeks and i absolutely love it, the feedback from not only the staff but the community as a whole makes freemote feels like your learning with family, and people who want to succeed as much as you. The new knowledge weekly is addicting, i would highly recommend this program from anyone looking to pursue a career change!

I've been learning code on my own for the last few months but would easily get lost in the vast amount of material and information. Freemote breaks down the material with every resource needed to be successful. Excited to finish the program and begin freelance coding!

An excellent review. The critique was very constructive and easily understood. The instructions for correcting the mistakes were well pointed out so that they were understood. Thanks for the review and help!
