Approved My Warranty, Then Denied It—and Lost My Wedding Band
I am extremely disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this company. My husband purchased my wedding ring set from Littman Jewelers in 2019 with a lifetime warranty. After my center diamond fell out, I contacted customer service and was informed that Littman Jewelers had merged with Fred Meyer Jewelers. The representative looked up our purchase, confirmed that my lifetime warranty was active, and instructed me to submit an online warranty claim. I filed the claim, explaining that my diamond had fallen out and requesting that it be replaced under the warranty and for my ring to be also ring cleaned since all the Littman stores where closed. Shortly afterward, I received an email stating that my claim had been approved. Based on that approval, I carefully packaged and mailed my complete wedding ring set—both my engagement ring and matching wedding band—along with the requested receipt. After they received my jewelry, I was suddenly told that my diamond would not be replaced because I had not completed annual inspections. If that disqualified my warranty, why was my claim approved in the first place? I relied on their approval when I entrusted them with one of my most valuable and sentimental possessions. To make matters even worse, when my jewelry was returned, they only sent back my engagement ring. My matching wedding band was missing. I shipped my rings as a complete set, and they have failed to return all of my property. This entire experience has been frustrating, stressful, and completely unacceptable. A company that sells jewelry should be able to accurately communicate warranty coverage before customers send in their valuables, and they should certainly be capable of returning every item that was entrusted to them. I am still seeking answers regarding my missing wedding band and expect this matter to be resolved immediately. Until then, I cannot recommend doing business with this company.
